Easy fix for this mod: 1. Make sure you have latest Anno 1800 Mod Loader 2. Open the xml file for whatever mod you enabled, change all double quotes ( " ) with single quote ( ' ) for the GUID value. Save and exit.
Unfortunately using 'starting ships' also adds to A.I. players as well so I removed the mod.The idea behind the mod is neat though, I mean if there was a way to edit the xml and load up with a few things kind of like you could with the ark in 2070. Not sure if the starting funds mod affects the A.I. as well but they cheat so much anyhow I don't see how an edit to double the funds is much of a cheat.
