Hello! You are free to enjoy Forbidden Trip, be it by playing or editing it! Just some tips for you:
-Assets come from different sources, authors who shared them without specific condition or accepted to share them! Please refer to the credits for the complete list of creators. Remember to check their profiles first to have the most recent content available instead of digging in Forbidden Trip! Credit them if you use their content!
-I added, made a lot of custom textures, decals, etc. that I took time to make. You can use them freely of course, just remember to credit me, it's appreciated!
-Please do not upload FT elsewhere: you will always find the most recent version of the adventure with the official links!
-If you want to adapt the game on another engine, why not! Just contact me first so we can chat about the idea!
-If you find any bugs or have suggestions, just contact me or leave a comment. I'll look into it as soon as I'll see your message!
-About the soundtrack; while some tracks are easily found on royalty free music websites, others were produced for the game, used with permission or even licenced. Please don't re-use any music without asking an authorization from the original artists; links are in credits as well, of course!

-Replaced 14 textures (photos) with AI inspired ones. Those are small details in only one level but I wanted to update that for some time.

-A meta-game was updated. During stud-hunt, just when it's loaded and begins, press "R" and "B" together; you should hear a ring sound. Debug mode is active: you can press "D" to skip to victory without penalty… for now. In the future, doing this process should also make the main game harder when you come back into it. Nothing comes for free.
-Note: an hotfix was included.

-Turkish language was added to the game! My sincere thanks to ic3robot for making this a reality, his interest in FT and feedback. Just so you know, AI was used to help checking this huge task. I find interesting trying those new technologies! If you find any mistake, feel free to report it. Fonts were updated to display correctly all letters. I simply took Penumbra fonts I already used for another project, The Woodpecker. This will help a lot for any future translations as well!
For the occasion, some in-game content was updated as well. -Updated a puzzle during level Temple Trials: fixed a possible softlock. Thanks ToastyGlaceon for your feedback! -Added a new music track in the same level, during a boss fight. -Added a new music track after Sento Escape. -Updated credits.

[2023 Sept. 30] -A few emails you receive contained outdated data (old .ml links which are discontinued because not reliable). Now FT only uses bitly links, they just work perfectly. -Two text strings were also updated to reflect changes and correct one typo.

[2022 Nov. 17] -Redone numerous particles, lighting systems, entities… -… to optimize four of the new maps (temple, theatre, sento, city streets). It was a lot of work but FPS should be better now. -Optimized one "older" map (destroyed school F1 - Northern section). -Improved tips, quests and added a new note in most recent levels. -Added two missing sound effects during concert. I forgot to include them earlier. -More details in new maps! -Minor edits and tweaks as well. -Minor update in credits. -Minor UI updates.
-Launcher was redone: --Removed all things related to Steam. --Now you will find [Support] button, which redirects to forums, plus also [Projects] which shows all creations by Yanka Prod. --Launcher can be detected as malware by some antivirus softwares: it's a false positive, no worries. I contacted every concerned AV companies to get verifications then whitelisting for the launcher. Some AV already updated their definitions while other requests are still pending.

[2022 Oct. 14] [END OF EARLY ACCESS] [CONTENT UPDATE] Game is complete, a little more than 9 years and a half since the project started. -Various new maps: not spoiling more, already shown various screenshots. See for yourself! -New endings obtainable (yep, there was already one secret ending accessible previously, without counting those bad endings). -Performance mode was redone, it is now implemented properly and is available for new maps too. -Some fixes and improvements in previous levels or meta-content; you know me. -Big optimization works made: maps with FPS loss now perform normally! Had to do some deep search and digging while reading maps' code but it was really worth it. -UI updates, new backgrounds for game start, loadings, etc. -More things less important or noticeable: corrected typos, improved checkpoints, changed some textures, edited minor things in story, improved code in some places, etc.

[2020 Nov. 08] -This update corrects the numerous broken/removed decals in the infirmary map. I had to work from the previous version of this level because the 1.3.2 version had been corrupted for an unknown reason. ? -Two visual tips were improved for this level. [2020 Aug. 25] This update brings various corrections and improvements: -The infirmary puzzles are now easier to figure. New tips, quest & details in environment. -A critical bug in the infirmary was corrected. Infamous invisible fire in the stove bug after loading a save for that level. It would make the puzzle very hard to figure. -Electro anomaly no more instantly kills you or drains your life to absolute zero. It will hurt you until you die, a more classic behaviour. It will make some sections easier. -Integrated Darkfire's new Nature Assets Pack. It upgrades some vegetation, grass & trees to nicer, animated models. On the menu we have... -One new map added; it's unfinished but there is a big portion. -Episode (chapter) selection in the main menu: replay your favorite part! It works like mod profiles: if you begin from a specific episode, resume your game via the same one. -To resume where the action stopped in 1.2, select the special 1.3 episode! -New visual effects; during cutscenes or other special events. -A lot of fixes/improvements & code optimisation for the older maps. -Updated & added text entries. -Still no masseur to help you relaxing while you play. Nope. You're on your own until the end.

This Total Conversion is inspired by some Asian folklore, ghost stories and initially by (you may have guessed) the Corpse Party game series. The project quickly expanded and became something a lot more personal though.
