a crude solution to remove race|species as improvement for random generation process give player some choice of what can appear in the game

Permissions and credits
Put in "(You)/document/Paradox Interactive/Age of Wonders 4/Mods" and select in the launcher same as any other mod.

This is a simple brute force mod that removed all related tags of a specific races|species|forms|skins in the game files. As a result any random generation process in the game, such as Leaders, Factions, Heroes, Minor factions will not utilize the removed ones.

Simply put, your game will only have factions you might want to have without the need to set each one manually.

- Filter normal removes Ratkin, Toadkin, Molekin.
- Filter strict removes Ratkin, Toadkin, Molekin, Feline, Lizardfolk, Avian, Lupine, Goatkin. (update: thanks for the heads-up. If you have preorder pack use Filter strict preorder.)


Opinion&Reason:
I made this because tired of screening factions for every new game and free cities full of undesired ones.

Personally I find that rat, toad, and mole very unfitting in the game. Although Age of Wonders 4 as a whole still a far bit goofy in my taste, these 3 are the biggest offender. Devs didn't do justice for other species anyways, same two legs, same animation. I simply do not find them appealing in this fantasy, while occupying a or more slots for good stuffs. And strict version is for situations like a non-"furry" setup, more classical experience such as human.. elf.. dwarves.. goblins.. etc. etc.

Problems:
This is a brute force method after all. The game does have hard related factions and leaders as well. These will crash obviously with those factions and leaders not exist.
- Story Realms can not access.
- Some Realms traits can not use.
 - Normal: Iron Emperor.
 - Strict: Iron Emperor, Druidic Alliance, Primal Dispute, The Ashen War.
Besides these all is well. The removed will not appear in game.

This mod can do the function until if developers provide an actual random generation filter in game.
