In normal air force operation, the OADF dispatches the LRSSG Strider and Cyclops Squadrons to escort Trigger. However, at sea and much to the chagrin of the OMDF, the OIA sends its own escort squadron Golem. Following the sinking of the Kestrel II during Operation Dual Wielder, the OIA questioned the competency of the OMDF command structure to protect the OIA/OADF's most valued strategic assets at sea. Therefore, Golem was sent to act as an independent squadron aboard the OFS Vulture with override authority. Needless to say, most sailors despise their presence. Golems are stone-cold stoic and silent, and if you try to ask Squadron Leader Knocker, he'll tell you their mission is above your paygrade and, indeed, it is.
Block I CFA-44 is the livery of the second CFA-44 Prototype fielded at the Osean Flight Test Center in 2018 after the first one was destroyed by an ADMM malfunction. While the second prototype is now being prepared to be kept in the Osean Air and Space Museum, it still has a few flights left in it, so take it out for a spin while the curators aren't looking. The worst that can happen is that you'll be thrown into the 444th Squadron, and that's not too bad. Ask the scrap queen who's fixing the damn thing up. On second thought, don't.
