OVERVIEW

XFA-27 -KS01- Loadout: XFA-27 with 4-MSL, 6-Target Homing EML, ADMM in weapon pods, always-active range-enhancing IEWS, and one-time 2-Wingman UAVs with improved stats

DETAILS

This mod swaps XFA-27's loadout to a custom one - 4 standard missiles, 6-target homing EMLs, ADMMs enclosed in weapon pods, always-active range-enhancing IEWS, and adds a pair of Wingman UAVs that can be spawned once with droptank-trigger (hold weapon switch button). The drones can be given command to attack a specific target with their long-range missiles, or to form up with the player. Can be applied to skin slot(s) of your choice, including slots provided by Additional Skin Slots mod.

FEATURES


Custom Loadout: 4MSL. Adds an extra pair of standard missiles, loading up to 4 at a time. Compatible with AIM-9X mod.


Custom Loadout: 6-Target Homing EML replacing SOD. In place of SOD, 3 EML units are mounted - 2 under the missile pylons and 1 under the belly, each unit able to fire up to 2 shells at once. These EMLs can lock on to up to 6 enemies within 6000m.


Custom Loadout: ADMM in Weapon Pods replacing MSTM. As MSTM replacement, 2 ADMM pods enclosed in stealth weapon pods are mounted under the missile pylons. Stats are identical to the ones on CFA-44 Nosferatu. (Featured in screenshot: ADMM Type-Ace6 VisMod by Dantofu)


Always-active range-enhancing IEWS and Pair of Wingman UAVs. The loadout adds an IEWS module that is always active during combat, greatly increasing lock-on range. In addition, a pair of wingman UAVs spawnable once is added. These UAVs can be ordered using Multiplayer Radio Button Down to follow the player (Defend/Support order), or using Multiplayer Radio Button Up to attack currently selected target with long range missiles (Attack order).


Enhanced plane capabilities. This custom loadout features enhanced capabilities - increased speed and mobility, capable of performing PSM at any speed below 3000km/h, and lower stall speed.

INSTALLATION

  • Download the file for this mod from the Files section
  • Extract these files into your game's ~mods folder (should be in <ACE COMBAT 7 location>/Game/Content/Paks/)
    • XFA-27 -KS01- (Base)_<version>_P.pak - the main file of the mod. MUST BE INSTALLED.
    • XFA-27 -KS01- (Skin X)_<version>_P.pak - the skin selector file. X denotes which skin slot it will apply to.
      (Slots 9-18 requires Additional Skin Slot mod by Sincerity and its supporting files).
    • ~XFA-27 -KS01- (ArclightEMLTextureFix)_<version>_P.pak - patch file to fix texture bug on Arclight EML
      This is only required if you have a model swap for X-02S installed (for example - ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam)
  • The mod should be installed now. Sortie with XFA-27 using the Skin Slot you installed the mod on and enjoy!

*Skin slots 9-18 requires Additional Skin Slots mod by sincerity2103 (and its requirement mods)


FURTHER NOTES & KNOWN ISSUES


  • Not compatible with weapon swap mods for XFA-27 in the same slot
  • Always-active IEWS also gets activated during takeoff phases that are integrated with the mission (Mission 1, Mission 5) and return line
    weapon switch sequence.
  • The UAVs can be spawned once per mission . Once used, it cannot be replenished by return line or phase change. Using return line also despawns the UAVs. Restarting from checkpoint allows them to be respawned (with droptank-trigger).
  • On their death or mission phase change, the UAVs leave behind their friendly target box
  • The UAVs cannot be targeted or shot down by normal enemy fire, but can be shot down by CIWS or missile-intercepting lasers
  • The UAVs' speed may cause their missiles to miss or flight pattern to be
    erratic. Flying low while the UAV has not slowed down may also risk the UAV crashing.
  • When scrolling up/down using up/down button of controller to select Special
    Weapon during return line session, drone command SFX will play (if those buttons are used for MP radio button up/down as well).
    • If this is done before deploying the drone, it will disable drone deployment
