OVERVIEW

Su-57 loadout swap inspired by PAK FA from Ace Combat Assault Horizon and T-50 -Akula- from Ace Combat Infinity featuring customized weapons - 4QAAM, 4HVAA, H-BDSP, and one-time-use unguided MPBM

DETAILS

This mod brings a customized loadout for Su-57 Felon, formerly named "PAK FA" in Ace Combat Assault Horizon and "T-50 PAK FA" in Ace Combat Infinity, that brings some features from the two games' versions.

FEATURES

4-target Quick Maneuver Air-to-Air Missile (4QAAM), inspired by ACAH Andrei Markov final boss fight, replacing 4AAM. During the fight, Markov was seen firing 4 missiles at once (possibly several times) at the player while the player was behind him - a feat that could not be achieved by the player themselves. This combination of 4AAM and QAAM, two Sp Weapons that are also featured as Sp Weapon choice for ACAH's PAK FA and T-50 (stock and -Akula- variant) in ACI, is a nod to Markov's bullshit capability.

4-target Hyper-Velocity Air-to-Air Missile
(4HVAA) featuring darker texture than 4QAAM to reference ACI's way of differentiating HPAA (red), HCAA (blue), and HVAA (black, green tip in beta), replacing GPB. This combination of 4AAM and HVAA is inspired by ACI's T-50 stock variant loadout.

Bomblet Dispenser with Hold-Trigger
(H-BDSP), a different take on Bomblet Dispenser (BDSP) seen in previous games and some mods for this game (X-02A by Megalith, and Tornado GR 4 by M4rkoz), replacing PLSL. Unlike the usual BDSP which fires numerous bomblet barrage after a trigger press, this variant of BDSP fires one bomblet at a time per trigger press but also allows continuous bomb-dropping by holding the trigger. To an extent, this mimics ACAH's Bomber gameplay where multiple bombs could be dropped in quick succession by holding the fire button. Original idea by M4rkoz.


One-Time Use Unguided MPBM as droptank-triggered weapon, referencing Trinity from Ace Combat Assault Horizon as used by the rival ace Andrei Markov during the final mission, which was dropped without guidance and became the final target of the campaign. The use of MPBM model instead of actual Trinity model is inspired by T-50 -Akula- Special Aircraft from Ace Combat Infinity, where the MPBM is Morgan's Hypersthene MPBM. To release the weapon, hold weapon switch button until the missile is released.

Externally-Mounted MSL and MPBM
. The MPBM and MSLs are mounted externally, with the MPBM being on the left wing despite the right wing also having a pylon. This is a reference to the T-50 -Akula- Special Aircraft's configuration, where said weapons were mounted externally, and the MPBM would always spawn on the left wing even when both wings had pylons present.

INSTALLATION

This mod comes with 3 choices for installation. Choose one that works for you:

SIMPLE INSTALL, ALL SLOTS - If you want the the loadout change to apply to all skin slots of Su-57. [One file install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Simple Install All Slots" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file contained within to your game's ~mods folder
    The folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

SIMPLE INSTALL, ONE SLOT - If you want the loadout change to apply to only one skin slot (your choice) of Su-57. [One file install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Simple Install One Slot" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file for the skin slot you want contained within to your game's ~mods folder
    The folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

ADVANCED INSTALL - If you want the loadout change to apply to multiple (but not all) skin slots. [Multiple files install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Advanced Install" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file with "(Base)" in its name to your game's ~mods folder
3. Extract the .pak file(s) for the skin slot(s) you want (the ones with "Skin <number>" in its name) to your game's ~mods folder
    The ~mods folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

*For Simple Install One Skin and Advanced Install options, Skin 1 is unavailable as choice due to technicalities of the game.
**Skin slots 9-18 requires Additional Skin Slots mod by sincerity2103

INCOMPATIBILITY NOTES

  • Not compatible with weapon swap mods for Su-57
  • Unlikely to be compatible with model swap mods
  • Compatibility with Trinity MPBM mod by M4DUZ4 untested

KNOWN ISSUES
  • Upper part of MPBM/MSL pylons that connect to the wings do not follow selected skin's texture/color.

AUTHOR NOTES

Originally, the MPBM used by this mod was supposed to have retargeting guidance similar  to the TLS used in ADFX-01 Pixy Loadout. However, applying the same logic did not seem to work on MPBM.
