ADFX-01 Loadout Swap, to be similar to Pixy's ADFX-02 Morgan from Ace Combat Zero mixed with IEWS from Ace Combat 7. Adds a fixed, retargeting-capable Laser weapon, permanent (very long lasting) automatic IEWS, and smal-radius ECM as missile defense system. Swaps all Sp Weapons for MPBM with differing stats. Supports Additional Skin Slots.

This mod brings you the ability to replicate ADFX-02's capability during the final mission of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, namely bringing all 3 Sp Weapons (usable) and reinforced airframe, while also bringing a new feature - IEWS and close-range missile intercepting field that is always active. This mod is a skin pawn swap (loadout, skin, capabilities, etc) applied to ADFX-01 Morgan.

DETAILS

This mod modifies ADFX-01 Morgan, giving it the following features:

  • Improved durability, allowing it to take more damage
    Health increased by about 50% (from 143 to 215)

  • Fixed TLS Pod, enabling it to be brought to sorties regardless of Special Weapon choice
    Zoisite TLS pod installed regardless of selected Special Weapon

  • Armed with retarget-capable Homing Laser, mimicking ACZ's ADFX-02 TLS to an extent
    Holding weapon switch button while flying relatively level (droptank trigger) activates laser that will direct itself to selected target if the target is within 5500m. Active for 18s, emitted from the TLS pod.

  • Always-active all-direction missile defense system, nearly similar to ACZ's ADFX-02 ECM but can also protects from the front, although incapable of deflecting or blocking bullets.
    Hostile missiles or ordnance at close range will be intercepted and detonated, regardless of direction. Can possibly be overwhelmed by a lot of missiles. Cannot block or deflect bullets.

  • Automatic long-lasting IEWS, retaining its AC7 incarnation that has IEWS instead of ECM
    IEWS will be automatically activated upon starting a mission "sequence" - including aerial refueling, landing, and takeoff - and lasts for 1 hour.

  • 3 Choices of MPBM varying in range, damage, blast radius, and VFX.
    With TLS pod being applied regardless of Special Weapon choice and IEWS being always active, MPBMs are the only choice of special weapons. Comes in 3 choices: Basic MPBM replacing TLS in SP Weapon 1, Helios MPBM with similar blast radius but features significantly higher damage but longer reload time replacing basic MPBM in SP Weapon 2, and ICBM-explosion MPBM with higher damage and much higher blast radius, but also higher reload time replacing IEWS in SP Weapon 3.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatible with common skin mods.

Not compatible with skin mods that modify emissives.

Not compatible with model swap mods.

Not compatible with other loadout swaps or model swaps.

Any mods that affect ADFX-01 Morgan as a whole may affect this mod.

NOTE - COMPARISON WITH SIMILAR MOD

Another ADFX-02 mod exists, namely MiraSuou's ADFX-02 All 3 SWP Mod which also enables the use of all 3 Special Weapons in a mission through SP Weapon switching with a special keybinding. The differences between this mod and that mod (referred to as 3SWP mod in this section) are:

  • This mod can be limited to selected Skin Slot (Simple Install One Slot / Advanced  Install), while 3SWP mod works for all skin slots.
  • This mod doesn't feature SP Weapon switching, which the 3SWP mod does and allows it to have infinite ammo.
  • This mod doesn't lower MSL reload speed, which the 3SWP mod does, to 0.2s load time.
  • TLS in this mod homes on selected target (if within range - 5500m), is activated by droptank trigger (hold weapon switch button for 1s), and stackable (can be fired again while still firing), while on the 3SWP mod it is treated as Special Weapon
  • This mod has 3 choices of MPBM (SP Weapon selection) but cannot have infinite ammo. The 3SWP mod can have infinite MPBM ammo through SP Weapon switching.
  • IEWS in this mod is active all the time and automatically reactivated on mission phase/sequence change. The 3SWP mod's IEWS needs to be triggered manually either by droptank trigger or as SP Weapon

Extra note on compatibility - using 3SWP mod alongside this mod, even with this mod prioritized, will have the plane unable to fire missiles and SP Weapon, but can still use GUN and droptank-triggered Laser. Permanent IEWS and missile defense system will stay active.

INSTALLATION

This mod comes with 3 choices for installation. Choose one that works for you:

SIMPLE INSTALL, ALL SLOTS - If you want the the loadout change to apply to all skin slots of ADFX-01. [One file install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Simple Install All Slots" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file contained within to your game's ~mods folder
    The folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

SIMPLE INSTALL, ONE SLOT - If you want the loadout change to apply to only one skin slot (your choice) of ADFX-01. [One file install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Simple Install One Slot" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file for the skin slot you want contained within to your game's ~mods folder
    The folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

ADVANCED INSTALL - If you want the loadout change to apply to multiple (but not all) skin slots. [Multiple files install]

1. In the Files section of the mod page, download the "Advanced Install" archive file.
2. Extract the .pak file with "(Base)" in its name to your game's ~mods folder
3. Extract the .pak file(s) for the skin slot(s) you want (the ones with
"Skin <number>" in its name) to your game's ~mods folder
    The ~mods folder should be placed in <ACE COMBAT 7>/Game/Content/Paks/

*For Simple Install One Skin and Advanced Install options, Skin 1 is unavailable as choice due to technicalities of the game.
**Skin slots 10-19 requires Additional Skin Slots mod by sincerity2103

KNOWN ISSUES
  • Zoisite TLS pod has low-res texture
  • Laser may go through the plane's body. This is harmless gameplay-wise as it deals no self-damage.
  • Laser can be triggered repeatedly before the previous one deactivates. This is known and left as-is, giving users choice to increase laser damage but needing to fly level for longer
  • Gun VFX and SFX activates as if it is being fired when starting a mission sequence (refueling, takeoff, landing, mission start or phase change) or activating laser. This issue exists for all droptank-triggered weapon. No known fix yet. To disable the VFX and SFX, simply fire the GUN once (unfortunately not applicable during landing, refueling, and takeoff).
