F-15C -ACEVAL-

This is a camouflage livery for the F-15C Eagle based off of 74-0089 (stationed at Luke AFB) as used in the US ACEVAL and AIMVAL tests.
In the 1970s the US conducted a series of trials to a) test new missile designs against the AIM-9 Sidewinder, and b) to determine the importance of multiple factors in air combat (aircraft performance, missile performance, numerical advantages, etc.). These trials were known as AIMVAL and ACEVAL respectively. Of note, the tests pitted Air Force F-15s and Navy F-14s against Nellis AFB's aggressor F-5s.
How the hell does this have to do with this skin? Well... some of the jets used in these trials tested the Ferris disruptive camouflage pattern, including 74-0089 (with a unique palette of FS36440, FS36320, and FS36231). If the false canopy looks weird, that's because the real bird had a weird one too.
Markings are purposefully sparse as was typical for Ferris-painted aircraft.
Unrelated fun fact - due to the trials' rules of engagement requiring visual ID of targets before firing missiles, essentially forcing close-range encounters, the F-15 pilots tried to get around this by mounting sniper scopes to the inside of their cockpits. Didn't work all that well, apparently.

As with my previous skins, textures use BC7 compression with mipmaps disabled to improve in-game quality. Let me know what you think and if you encounter any bugs.

Place the files you want to use in the AC7 game directory as follows:
ACE COMBAT 7\Game\Content\Paks\~mods\[PLACE HERE!]
If no ~mods folder is present then you can create one there.
