NGL this one is sort of hard to describe. I came across this picture depicting a USN VF-31 F-14 in what appears to be something close to the USAF's Mod Eagle paint scheme:
The Mod Eagle Tomcat was already done by Urvo; however I wanted to recreate the unique way this aircraft was painted, since as far as I know it's just temporary water-based paint over one of their low-vis/TPS-painted birds.
This is what I came up with. On top, it's the typical Mod Eagle colors, FS36176 and FS36251; the camouflage is more blurred together and super worn away to reflect that it's temporary non-durable paint. Underneath, though, is a basic two-tone scheme used by some F-14s during the early 1990s/Operation Desert Storm; FS36375 on the bottom and FS36320 everywhere else. You can still see the lighter colored low-vis scheme on top peeking out through the wear, as well as immediately around the rescue decals, modex, and tail decorations so as not to have the paint cover anything important.
Mage markings are inspired by VF-194 "Red Lightnings"; Strider's markings reference VF-301 "Devil's Disciples".
As with my other skins, textures use BC7 compression with mipmaps disabled to improve in-game quality. Let me know what you think and if you encounter any bugs.
