OVERVIEW

This mod presents an alternate take to "modularity" (previously seen on my F-22A Modular Weapon Swap, which allows swapping per-weapon and per-skin slot).

With this mod, you will be able to apply several property changes to F-14D's 3rd Special Weapon, which is 8 missiles loaded in weapon pods (default is 8AAM). The available changes are as follows:

Multi-target Property
Choose multilock property. By default, it can lock on to  multiple targets at once (up to the number of missiles the plane can load per salvo).
  • Multitarget-capable (Default)
  • Single target only, disabling multitarget
  • Can stack locks on a single target, in addition to multitarget
Homing
3 choices of homing property:
  • Instantly track targets on launch, directly pursuing the target
  • Has delayed tracking, but has target-leading property
  • Slightly less delay than the second choice, but less further "prediction" on target leading
Salvo Count & Load Time
How many missiles the plane can load per salvo is in your hands. Load time per missile is higher the higher the missile count per salvo. Available choices:
  • 1 missile per salvo, 2s load time per missile
  • 2 missile per salvo, 4.2s load time per missile
  • 4 missile per salvo, 8.5s load time per missile
  • 6 missile per salvo, 13s load time per missile
  • 8 missile per salvo, 18s load time per missile
Range & Lock Speed
Decide how far your missiles can get a lock. The further the lock range, the longer the missile can remain in flight. However, longer range also increases time to get a lock. Available choices:
  • 2000m lock range, 9s missile duration, fastest lock time (faster than MSL, around ADMM's)
  • 4000m lock range, 12s missile duration, faster lock time than 8AAM (slightly slower than ADMM)
  • 6000m lock range, 15s missile duration, slower lock time
  • 8000m lock range, 18s missile duration, slowest lock time (slightly slower than basic 6AAM/8AAM)
Target Type & Lock Angle
Pick whether the missiles can only lock to air targets, only ground targets, or both. Ability to lock to both types reduces lock angle.
  • Air-to-Air only, 42.5 degree lock angle
  • Air-to-Ground only, 42.5 degree lock angle
  • Multipurpose, 27.5 degree lock angle
Special Properties
You can give up to one special properties to the missile.
  • Very wide homing angle. Allows looping but reduces turn rate
  • Semi-active. Does not turn when the target is not within targeting circle, but greatly improves turn rate
  • Proximity detonation and area damage. Missile damage is now split between impact damage and radial damage, and can now detonate when it's about to miss, like SASM, dealing minor damage. Flight speed is reduced with this module.
Model
Several missile models are available for your choosing. These are picked based on if the model can fit inside the weapon pods.
  • American/NATO 4AAM/6AAM/8AAM (Default)
  • American/NATO MSL/HPAA/QAAM seen on NATO planes (e.g. F-16C's MSL, F-104C's HPAA, F-22A's QAAM)
  • American/NATO SASM used on F-15C's SASM
  • American/NATO 8AGM used on F-35C's 8AGM
  • European 4AAM used on Mirage 2000-5's 4AAM
  • European LAAM used on Typhoon's and Rafale M's LAAM
  • Japanese QAAM used on F-15J's QAAM
  • Su-57's and 5th Gen Fighter's 4AAM
  • FB-22's LAAM
  • XFA-27's MSTM
INSTALLATION
  • Download the archive file of this mod from this site
  • Install the base file to your ~mods/ folder: F14DCustomSpW3_Base_P.pak
  • From EACH MODULE, select NO MORE THAN ONE file to install and put them in the ~mods/ folder.
    Installing more than one file per module may lead to undesired behavior
  • Play the game
  • Enjoy!
!! IMPORTANT NOTE !!
In hangar, the weapon will show the default name 8AAM, but the model should change and in-mission HUD the name will be MSTM , if installed correctly.

KNOWN ISSUES
  • When using 1-salvo module without single target module, it can lock up to 2 enemies at once but only one missile is fired
    Solution
    : Use single target lock module (~F14DCustoMSpW3_LockSingleTarget_P.pak)
                     Keeping default (multi-target) or adding lock-stacking contradicts the idea of using 1-salvo module, anyways.
