It is not clear when they first appeared, but they always seem to arrive with the worst timings. They arrive, bringing hell down onto the operation and then they vanish quickly after like they weren't there. So many have tried to even shoot down one, but has so far failed due to their ability to disappear and reappear on command. They are like ghosts on the battlefield.. Appearing out of thin air and vanishing in the same way. It feels like they are inhuman... It's scary to think, to be honest. Once their lead plane managed to slip under our AWACS once, and it tore it in half with a beam of blue light. I haven't seen a plane like that since the Belkan war.
The Thunderbound is the name given to 8 aircraft that appear in the worst conditions of the battle, aswell as pretty often in storms. They are a group of unmanned aircraft, with unknown origins.
Introducing the members of The Thunderbound:
Nickname STORM - ADFX-02U Morgan.
Storm is lead flight, featuring the most advanced airframe and avionics of the Thunderbound. It can fend off an entire fighter coalition on it's own, and seems to enjoy doing so by studying flight patterns. While Storm has been spotted before, it now boasts a new livery. It has been confirmed that STORM is the one who shot down the Osean Bigshot of 2019's Lighthouse war during a sortie in 2021.
Nickname BANDIT - Su-37M4 Terminator.
Judging by Bandit's behavior, it seems that the Su-37 is the Wingman to STORM. Every time someone tries to sneak up on the lead flight, Bandit is usually the one who shuts them off by shooting the enemy down. Bandit's behavior is also always on the defense, so it is impossible to even go for a gunfight.
Nickname BULLSEYE - Su-47M2 Berkut.
Bullseye, is incredibly accurate with gunfire, or even with missiles. They prefer to use long range, or hypersonic weaponry. Best advice is to go for close battles for now, and avoid any long-range engagements as it could be proven 100% fatal.
Nickname GEIGER - Su-57 (UNM-193) Felon.
ever wondered of how it feels to step next to the elephant's foot, or something even worse? Meet The Su-57 we call Geiger. It's emblem has been spotted to be a radioactive symbol and it radiates so much that you can practically hear the ticking in your head. We try to avoid fighting them at all costs because of radiation poisoning. Even for those who has been shot down by Geiger proves to have high level of radiation sickness.
Nickname VIKING - F-22A Raptor Block 60.
like the name suggests, Viking is the most offensive, or should i say aggressive, of the Thunderbound. They are shown to push their airframe to the extreme limits, taking out one fighter after the other. They do not show any mercy, none at all. Viking once rammed through the wing of an F-15 with barely any visible damage to it's own airframe.
Nickname LIFELINE - YF-23 Black Widow II.
Not much information on Lifeline. They seem to be the one keeping the Thunderbound together. Like Bullseye, they use stand-off weapons, in the case they are threatened. Lifeline seems to be pretty passive, but sticks with the group nonetheless.
Nickname BLITZ - F-15S/MTDU.
Blitz Is quick on striking their target, and then vanishing in the blink of an eye. They seem to be really into the boom-and-zoom tactic, only that it's engines seem to be able to push it harder than what is even possible for the airframe. At any altitude, or at any angle, Blitz will hit hard and fast. It has a weird emblem on it's left side, nobody has really figured out what it means.
Nickname HAMMERHEAD - F-35NFU Lightning II
Hammerhead was given it's nickname as it liked to stalk it's prey from below, due to it's stealth capability. Hammerhead seems to be always aware of everything, and is able to quickly alert the rest if something is happening.
