Skies Unbalanced modifies AI to increase flight performance as well as providing modular options to increase or decrease the difficulty of the singleplayer campaign. Comes with nine presets for AI and three presets for AI weaponry.

Skies Unbalanced seeks to create a much more difficult singleplayer experience in Ace Combat 7 by boosting the AI's flight performance. This mod is based on a modular system allowing users to fine tune the difficulty to their liking.


These changes have a blanket affect and change almost every mission on every difficulty. Do not expect a fair experience and expect to have the AI pull impossible maneuvers.


When installing the mod, do not install more than one AI mod, and do not install more than one weapon mod. They are incompatible and will conflict.


The download comes with two folders and a total of five .paks. Three AI settings and two weapon settings.

AI Options:
(NEW) Easiest - Closest to Vanilla settings. These settings are for those who only want a small boost in performance.
(NEW) Easy - Slightly boosted version of Easiest.
Hard - Significantly boosts the AI's flight performance. This is the easiest option in the pack.
Insane - Further increases the AI's performance. AI may be significantly more maneuverable than the player.
Cheating - Cranked to 11. These AI have level 3 speed and maneuverability parts equipped.

Weapon Options:
Hard - Increases the AI's aggressiveness with their machine guns and missiles. Enemy missile maneuverability is slightly buffed. Two missile hits will kill the player.
Insane - Same as above option, only tuned to further show that you are no longer the only anomaly in the sky.

(NEW) Cheating - Even harder to dodge missiles. Damage values are the same as the previous options.

Special:
AI:
(NEW) Cheating+ - These AI are nigh impossible to shoot down and will bully you.
(NEW) Cheating++ - Good luck.

(NEW) Timestop - The AI are completely frozen in place. They cannot move but will still shoot if you give them the opportunity. This setting is extremely buggy and is just for fun.
(NEW) Reverse - The AI is set to negative values. Some fly backwards, some don't. Extremely buggy.

Installation Instructions:
This mod is designed to be modular. You may choose one AI, one weapon, or a combination of both. I highly recommend pairing an AI mod with a weapon mod as they are meant to go together.

Pick one AI and one weapon mod and place them in your ~mods folder.

Known bugs:
1. Some missions feature heavy scripting for both allied and enemy units. There is nothing I can do to change these scripted segments.

2. Friendly kills do not count towards the player's score. This makes some missions much more difficult to score high on due to the friendly AI actually managing to do things. This does not apply to most missions. Due to the way that this is coded I cannot change this.
