Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown

Modular SP Weapon Swap for F-22A (Advanced Install Version)

In this version, YOU CAN INSTALL THE SWAP FOR EACH SKIN OR APPLY TO ALL SKINS.

  • Extract the files from the .zip
  • Put "ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_P.pak" found in "Base Files/" into your ~mods/ folder
  • Designate which skins you want to have their SP Weapon swapped.
If you want all skins to be eligible for swapping, install "~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_AllSkins_P.pak" found in "Swap Files/All Skins/" folder
Otherwise, individually designate the skins by installing the corresponding Base Skin files found in "Swap Files/<Skin slot>/"
For example, to designate Skin 5 (Spare Skin) (that is, to make Skin 5 eligible) for swapping, install "ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_Skin5_P.pak"

!NOTE: Due to technical limitations, Skin 1 cannot be individually designated. Only Skin 2-12 can.
  • Put the Swap File(s) for the weapon(s) you want.
If you want to apply the swap(s) to all designated skins, install the swap file(s) for "All Skins" found in "Swap Files/All Skins/<Weapon slot>/"
For example, installing "~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_SWP2-4AAM_P.pak" will swap XSDB to 4AAM on all designated skins
Otherwise, install the individual skin weapon swap file(s) found in "Swap Files/<Skin slot>/<Weapon slot>/"
For example, if you want SP Weapon 1 on Skin 5 to be HPAA, install "~~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Skin5_SWP1-HPAA_P.pak"

Remember, the swap will only apply if the "designator" files are installed. For the example above, "ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_Skin5_P.pak" must be installed.

!NOTE 1: "Individual Skin" weapon swap can override the "All Skin" swap.
For example, if you designate Skin 2-5, then install "~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_SWP2-4AAM_P.pak" and "~~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Skin4_SWP2-HCAA_P.pak", Skin 2, 3, and 5 will have 4AAM instead of XSDB, but Skin 4 will have HCAA instead of XSDB.

!NOTE 2: Swap for Skin 1 can only be done if "All Skins" designating file ("~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_AllSkins_P.pak") is installed. See below.

COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER WEAPON SWAPS

  • For compatibility with other weapon swaps DO NOT INSTALL "~ModularSWPSwap_F-22A_Base_(Advanced)_AllSkins_P.pak"

  • You MUST designate the eligible skins individually. By designating the skins, the swaps will be reverted to the default F-22A weapons.

!NOTE: Designating also reverts 6AAM swap by other mods, but the salvo count will be reduced to 6 due to the loss of "launch pylons". See below for fix in "Reverting Swap for One Or More Skins"

  • This mod MUST have higher priority than the other weapon swap mods. Priority can be increased by adding "~" in front of the mod filename.

!NOTE: For this mod, the order of priority needs to be: SpW-IndividualSkin Swap File > SpW-AllSkin Swap File > Base Files

REVERTING SWAP FOR ONE OR MORE SKINS

Inside each skin folder's weapons, there is a "default" option - SWP1-QAAM, SWP2-XSDB, SWP3-8AAM. These are meant to "revert" the swap for those skins only.

For example, you want to have HCAA on SP Weapon 2 for all skins EXCEPT Skin 7. Instead of installing HCAA file for each skin slot except 7, you can install HCAA file for all slot, and revert to QAAM on Skin 7.

!NOTE: The revert for 8AAM also fixes issue where 6AAM Swaps causing 8AAM retained from this mod to have only 6-salvo instead of the supposed 8. However, the 7th and 8th missiles will not appear in the pylons and will seemingly "pop"  into existence on launch.
