I am not a fan of locking gameplay enhancements exclusively to certain "builds".
Ten quickslosts should be the default, or at least shouldn't lock the player into certain meta builds. Let me use my items, I have enough keys on my keyboard. Honestly I'd preferred it if they had just made it an equipment item instead of a trait, but here we are.
It's just a damn fanny pack.
Since I have spent entirely too much time figuring out how to mod very basic stuff in UE5, with only contradictory and out-of-date modding guides to go on, I thought I might share these mini-mods.
Included are files for reducing trait point cost for the fanny pack down to 5, down to 1 and remove the cost entirely. Currently Abiotic Factor does not display zero cost traits correctly, and the fanny pack get's shoved over to negative traits (see screenshots). Files are compressed with 7-zip.
Installation Extract the files to \AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Content\Paks (next to the main *.pak file). Only use one version. Nothing terrible should happen if you don't, but I don't know how the game handles priority for confilicting files.
This shouldn't conflict with any other mods as long as they don't modify traits and trait costs.
