If you want to change anything I've done here, either want to add additional items or edit the values of the ones the mod alters, simply open the XML files in something like Notepad++ and edit the data. Note, the append command is an addition or subtraction of the base values in game, so where I modify by "5," it is adding 5 to the base value of 15.
If you want to remove an effect, either set the value to 0, or simply delete that block.
If you want to add anything additional, go to Data/Config/Items in the base game directory, and find the name of the item you want to amend in that file. Make sure its in the right area, look for similar items above and below, all the food stuffs are grouped. Make a note of the items name, then go back to my Items file in the mod files. Copy one of my append blocks in the mod file, and duplicate it by pasting it below, changing the referenced name in the new block to the one in the Config/Items file. Any questions give me a shout and I'll try to help.

Version 1.1:
2 cornmeal + 1 boiled water = 2 cornbread

Minor (+5) improvement to most early game foods including tinned items.
Some items excluded, such as charred meat and pet food.

Rationale: I've made bread, the bread you are making here with cornmeal are like small arepas, they don't take a full glass of water each. This small change makes making them worth while. I have not changed pumpkin bread in terms of recipe, as I believe you are making a small loaf.
On a lunch time, I will eat a can of chilli with a slice or two of bread, and it will fill me. With a +5 on most canned goods and +5 on corn bread, doing this is a lot more realistic.
I haven't increased the food value from eggs because I believe they are supposed to be wild bird eggs, which are notoriously small.

Version 1:
3 raw eggs + 1 boiled water = 3 boiled eggs

Rationale: You can fit more than one egg in a pan of water at a time. Assuming its a small pan, and these are small eggs, I reason that you could boil them 3 at a time. This does mean you will need to have collected 3 eggs before you can cook any however. This recipe simply saves on water in the very early game.
