Before I start going crazy with troubleshooting, Im using v1.0.3 and just wanting to check if the total number of rewards was toned down from 10 to 5? I am only getting a possible 5 rewards even with trying to scroll up and down and while using Quartz.
Are you using any mods that effect Quests? Modded Quests make their own changes to their added quests, and my mod doesn't change those. My mod only effects vanilla quests.
I am not using any quest mods. I am using: Trader Never Closes Better Starting Items SMX UI / Quartz / Gears and this mod
I was just wondering if this mod had been toned down from the 10 total rewards to 5 before I started disabling different mods to see which might be conflicting.
I was thinking the same thing, that it was probably a UI conflict. If I had to choose, I suppose I would take the better and more numerous quest rewards over a UI. Do you perhaps have a UI overhaul you would recommend that works with your mods more cohesively?
Did you update to the latest version of Quartz? Try this first to see if it's working for you.

Do me a favor and start a new test world using only Quartz and this Mod, with no other mods. If it's working in this test, one of your other mods is causing the issue. It could be a UI mod, or any mod with an XUi XML file component.
Hey FlufferNutterSandwich! I want you to know that Quartz is updated. I would like to use your wonderful mod in version 2.0 so please update it^^ Thanks!
thank u for quick reply, yes i downloaded mod quartz . whats ui mod? i installed gears and quartz only. and it looked like this the ui on trader more to the offside leftside my screen https://imgur.com/a/VGRqW0R
@FlufferNutterSandwich: I was using v 1.0.1 with only Izy and it was ok. Izy's weapons are definitely OP but your mod gave me at most 3 in a single playtrough. The rewards are chances based so isn't OP per se. I think that in your testing what is throwing off the balance is the fact that you are using two very OP weapon packs and you are getting 10 rewars for quest to choose from.
I tried the 1.0.2 with quartz and 10 rewards and found it far too much for my taste.
tbn: I'm still using 1.01 in a playtrough with Pant's Weapon Pack and the balance is on the the spot. I'm at the end of this playthrough and I've seen a total of four weapons in the rewards.
Overall I think that having 5 rewards is more than enough.
Hey! I was wondering if there was any way I could get this mod working without Quartz? Running Quartz has been causing issues for my friends and I connecting to each other in multiplayer.
Try running it without Quartz and report back what happens. You will likely get ten possible rewards to choose from, but without Quartz you cannot scroll down past 5, so you will not be able to select what you can't see. Quartz adds the scroll through 10 rows option to the Quest Rewards screen. That's why it's there. I don't currently know how to display all 10 options without Quartz.
Thank you for your time and the quick reply. We tried adding your mod without Quartz, started a new save, and we got the same issue. The host's game stops responding when the other player presses to spawn in.
You could post the log in pastebin, or DM me, but I'll be honest and say I don't have a way to troubleshoot for Dedicated servers since I don't play on them.
For a sanity check, try testing it solo just to make sure it's not other mods on your list.
In solo it works great! As for the pastebin, I will post that once I can test it again. edit: Multiplayer is just p2p and is working with the rest of the mods. Just not this one
I personally haven't seen many guns from either mod as a reward show up, so it seem okay for now. Tho, I have seen a single cloth fragment as a reward for a tier 1 quest, that was kinda funny.
How it works is this: 7 rows of standard vanilla rewards from TFP. (piece of cloth, a few pieces of wood) 3 rows of my Mod's Superior Loot options. 10 total, but a still roll of the dice for what you get.
good to know, and not even gonna try to hide it, but until I read the post below mine i didn't even notice you could scroll for more rewards since the quartz addition. I may have missed out on quite a few good items.

2. Are you playing with a UI mod? I have tested compatibility with CATUI, SteelUI, and AGF-HUD. Those all worked with this mod.

Should I water it down a bit so you get less weapons? I play with Izy and the EFT Extraction Pack. I like seeing them, but it does throw balance off.
Should I make a nerfed variant?
