About this mod

Add 3 different Radiation zones to the game. Protect yourself from the new threat by equipping Nomad Armor or with the newly discovered Potassium Iodide pills! Don't venture too long into the radiation as you may gain Radiation Sickness.

2025-07-30 UPDATE: I verified this mod still works with the latest version of 7 Days to Die (v2.1 b10). I'll try to drop a YT video going over how to set up the mod and what it all does.
I'm planning to incorporate a debuff dependent on which biome you are in and what gear you may be wearing. I was holding off with any major updates to this mod knowing v2 was supposed to have a great weather system in place and I'm starting to feel like my wait on TFP wasn't justified.

Notice: This can be used on Dedicated Servers without requiring others to download/install (Server-side Mod)

Adds the ability to have 3 separate radiation zones within your Generated World! (Low, High, Deadly)

The higher level of radiation the higher amount and frequency in which you take damage.
If exposed for too long you will gain Radiation Sickness which must be treated even if you leave the radiated zone.

While wearing a full set of Nomad armor or taking Potassium Iodide pills you will negate damage in the Low Level zones.
The High Level Radiation zones require the Nomad armor and Potassium Iodide pills to negate damage.
The Deadly Level Radiation zones will cause damage to you while outdoors even with armor and pills but at a reduced rate.

Exploring at night reduces the chance of damage while in the radiation zone.

While protected from Radiation you still have a chance to take on long-term effects of Radiation Sickness while exploring.

Usage/Installation:
1) Place folder/files contained within the ZIP in your "7 Days to Die\Mods" folder
2) Create a RandomGen map while in-game
3) Alt+Tab or Exit the game
4) Open "%appdata%\7DaysToDie\GeneratedWorlds\RANDOMGEN_CREATED\"
5) Edit/Replace the "radiation.png" found in the WORLD directory using the following RGB color codes for radiation;
    0,255,0 - Level 1 Low Level
    0,0,255 - Level 2 High Level
    255,0,0 - Level 3 Deadly Level
6) Launch your new game
