About this mod

Tier 3 POI at an Old Brick Schoolhouse. The abandoned school was hastily converted to a FEMO shelter, but must have flooded at some point.

Tier 3

Quest type(s):

Flavor text from Trader Bob:

"I thought about what you mentioned the other day about looking for a good place where there might be some supplies left around here.  I know the dang raiders have nearly picked this area clean, but there's one place I bet they overlooked.  After you left last time, I got to thinking about that old brick schoolhouse I went to when I was a boy.  Back in the early fifties they built the basement to be a bomb shelter when they thought the Russkies would be the end of us.  Some time before the good old days were over, it was abandoned.  Heck, the town was thinking about bulldozing it, and turning the site into one of those Pop and Pill Express Doc-in-a-box clinics, but I digress. During the collapse, it was reopened briefly as an emergency shelter, when they still thought it was just the flu.  Since there was a FEMO operation set up there, you might find some equipment."

Path throughout the POI:
Enter through the rear, follow the lights, but you can get turned around if you don't pay attention.  There's a lot of void space in the building, but I don't think every space in every building should be jam-packed.  Just look for the lights, and follow them.

*** If you know anyone who is a good POI crafter, please ask them to help me fix the rear edge of the driveway as it spawns funky in the city (blocking off the driveway).  ***

Difficulty:
Average tier 3.

Author's Note: This building is a love letter to my primary school.  It's also a take on one of the first POI I saw when I started playing this game.  I started playing in Alpha 18, and there used to be a cool partially demolished schoolhouse.  I haven't seen it in years so I wonder if it went away.  It was the first place I took shelter in when I started playing 7D2D after being wounded, and infected when I spawned in the wasteland.  Good times.

For POI Crafters who are curious about the flooded basement: First you want to create everything you want in a space, and fully decorate and paint it!!!  SAVE your POI!  Then you load in a layer of water.  To get zombies to spawn under water is tricky.  After you create a level of water, you want to remove the water from two spots, one where the sleeper spawns, and one in front of it.  This will allow you to place the sleeper, and still have water in all spots in the real game.

During Random World Generation (RWG), I spawned this POI once in the city of a forest biome (as seen in the video) with an 8k map.

Constructive criticism is welcome:

I hope you enjoy these POIs as much as I do making them for you.

These POI are free to use and bundle in other 7d2d mod packs, but please give credit to FlufferNutterSandwich (FNS).

Installation:

1.      To Install the POI(s) and make it able to be spawned during Random World Generation (RWG), you must install the unzipped
files into: YOURDRIVE:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\7 DaysTo Die\Data\Prefabs\POIs

2.      You must delete already randomly generated worlds from your:
 YOURDRIVE:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\7DaysToDie\GeneratedWorldsfolder.
Warning! Be mindful not to delete worlds you still wish to play in!

3.      This POI will load in the following regions: city, country residential, and country town.  You must generate a new random world of sufficient size to allow this POI to spawn.  I'd recommend at least an 8k map size.  If you have never generated a world, it can take 5-30 minutes depending on world size, quality, and your hardware.  Kick it off and go get some chores done.

4.      To uninstall them, just remove the POI files from the aforementioned folder locations. My POI's all begin with "FNS_...
