Changelogs
Version 0.5
Removed powders and blends to simplify crafting and removed workbench requirements for bronze in order to have earlier access to tools, making them more viable for early game. Also adjusted carbon fiber recipe to use far less glue, hopefully making it more practical to craft.
Version 0.4
This is a major overhaul and a new save is recommended. This added a bunch of new metals to the mod such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, titanium and more and tools to match, along with a complete overhaul of how the alloy forge works (no smelting). Also added a new boulder and a chance to get various ores from iron, lead and stone nodes.
Version 0.3
Updated boulder textures to be more realstic and improved UVs.
Version 0.2
Added recipes to allow empying the alloy forge and added a new bronze paxel which allows you to only carry 1 tool instead of 3 or 4
This mod is a work in progress that introduces enhanced metallurgy to the game by adding 4 new boulders containing a variety of metals including copper, zinc, tin, nickel, titanium, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten alongside a new forge, the Ally Forge, aiming for a more authentic metalworking experience. Instead of an anvil or clay in the recipes, players will instead use clay molds for casting ingots. The combination of Copper and Zinc creates Brass for ammunition, while Copper and Tin forge Bronze for better tools compared to stone counterparts. Additionally, carbon dust, derived from coal, is introduced for a realistic approach to steel smelting and used to further expand tool options by incorporating carbon fiber which is offers better versions of Bronze tools, offering greater durability than their wooden alternatives. As of V0.4 Stainless Steel and Titanium smelting and tools have been added.
Version 0.2 Update: Added ability to empty alloy forge as well as added a bronze paxel (a pick, axe and shovel or a 3 in 1 AIOT). The paxel works equally well against everything including butchering which can reduce the number of tools needed on your toolbelt.
Version 0.3 Update: Updated boulder textures to be more realstic and improved UVs.
Version 0.4 Update: This is a major overhaul and a new save is recommended. This update added a bunch of new metals to the mod such as nickel, chromium, molybdenum, titanium and more and tools to match, along with a complete overhaul of how the alloy forge works (no smelting). Also added a new boulder (only found in the desert, snow and wasteland biomes) and a chance to get various ores from iron, lead and stone nodes.
