About this mod

This mod reworks the infection ailment to have more of a negative effect causing the sick to seek out a cure with a little more urgency. Death/suicide is not the easy way out either as the infection stays with you even after death unless you cure it.

All original effects and cures of the infection remain, this mod just adds to it.

Here is a list of the changes for this mod.
  • Random total lifetime of infection (anywhere from 1 hour to 5 hours real world time max)
  • Random total lifetime of infection is increased on next life if you die with infection. (anywhere from 5 hours to 8 hours real world time max)
  • If you die before curing yourself of the infection you will respawn with the infection reset and with an increased total lifetime.
  • Infection now causes spontaneous vomiting and coughing.
  • Coughing has a 50% chance to spread infection to other players within 6m every time a player coughs. (It's contagious, remember to social distance)
  • Vomiting causes a little heath loss and loss of food and water and removes any currently being gained.
  • Vomiting also causes player to be ejected from vehicles and temporarily reduces movement.
  • There is a 50% chance to fall over and pass out after vomiting if the infection is less than 57% and a 100% chance if infection is higher than 57%.

There is audio for the vomiting and coughing but no animation.

  • Fixed bug that caused infection if taken cure without being infected or after being cured infection comes back on its own.
