Honestly, I would snag Sphereii's farming mod called Blooms Animal Husbandry. It is a SDX mod, so it is hosted on ModLauncher, not next (different method of modding files, SDX gives you a lot more control, but requires a little tinkering to set up. Thankfully Sphereii made this very easy with his work on ModLauncher.)
Firearms is my "main" project that I work on for the time being. I may revisit this concept during A18 and push it into another direction. Farming as a concept, works far far better with SDX mods then it does with basic xpath format, so I'm glad someone like Sphereii and Khaine are doing their project as a stand alone for everyone (Khaine is the creator of Darkness Falls overhaul, Blooms is inside DF I believe, or coming to it very soon). I think you would enjoy it more then this projects current state, as I have not updated this work in several months on my public platforms.
if anyone wants the updated version of this mod that works for alpha 20.6 here the models are still a little broken but it works
