    What file and line would I edit to turn zombie jumping off? Romero zombies don't jump at all. They might get over knee high objects but that is about it. Also is there a way to set a max amount of zombies that appear per zone/chunk and once you kill them no more come until the set respawn days?

    Asking as I have been trying to enjoy the mod solo and I can't do a blessed thing without getting attacked every 10 seconds it seems. Would be nice to clear zombies in zone and be free to do whatever without worrying about more spawning in until a few days have passed.

    Hi!

    I agree with EmperorGorgon, this is how a zombie game should work. Great mod to overhaul the original!

    But I do think that hunger and thirst comes around to often.
    The food and water items I find in the beginning does not do much, and there is too few available for purchase for me too survive on when finding the first trader.
    Would it be possible to decrease how much food and water the player consumes during different actions, or increase how much food and water items replenish the player?

    Or is this just an issue in the beginning until mid-game?

    Even before starting my private server, I have recurring errors in the main menu as seen in the below screenshot.

    Mod has been downloaded manually from Nexus, added to Vortex manually by drag&drop the ZIP-file and then deploying.

      Vortex did not handle the folder structure correctly..
      I downloaded and added sub-folders manually into the Mods-folder with File Explorer, and now it works!

    Hello!
    I'm so happy to see this updated. I thought it was dead there for awhile. I do miss the wondering hoard feature that slowly added more zombies to the hoards. I was wondering if Day of the Dead would be compatible with this mod:

    It appears to bring this feature back, but it does appear to touch things you said would be a no go. What is your opinion Vampiricon?

      Hi there!

      Thanks for the feedback.
      I still have more work to do on my mod with regard to the zombie population settings, hordes & appearances.
      But without using a custom DLL I am always limited to what the game can provide.

      The mod you highlighted is quite interesting and grabbed my attention also.
      It could provide a good alternative to the old Romero Hordes.

      Just looking at that mod's code, it should be totally compatible with Day of the Dead.
      And it probably does not matter if it loads before or after my mod.

      It is working OK for me so far, but this is very early on in testing.

      I put a "0-" in front of the directory name so it loads before my mod.
      "0-ImprovedHordes"
      But leaving it at the default should also be fine.

      If it all works well after a bit more play testing - I will discuss with the author of that mod about possibly adding it to my pack. That way I can also tweak some of the settings to suit Day of the Dead, as that mod does create some new groups, which I would like to adjust. Or I will look to provide some kind of patch that adjusts the other mod after it loads, depending on what the author says.

      Awesome! Thanks for looking into this. My friends and I really enjoyed the ever growing hoards that just slowly over take you from version 4. I think the scaling with the gamestage is a great idea as the zombies just keep ever increasing there numbers as you level. This totally would fit into the day of the dead theme as the zombies are always growing in numbers. I was sad to see this removed, as that really kept you on your toes because you knew a bigger hoard could spawn at any moment. I will add this to my server, and give ya some feedback on what I find.

      Thanks for the time you put into this pack, and keeping it updated! It is a different experience, and totally a lot of fun if you like popping A LOT of zombie heads with A LOT of guns. :)

    Fantastic Mod! I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but this is how a zombie game should be. Old school zombies I feel like Vincent Price in "The Last Man on Earth". All I need now is a zombie voice mod that calls out Morgan...Morgan.lol Excellent work.

    There is a bug in 5.0 with the Horde spawner code. Causing an object reference error.
    V5.1 update available now.
    This fixes the issue as well as other additions that did not quite make 5.0.

    Apologies to all, I have been AWOL for a few months.
    Thanks for your patience.

    Yes I will be looking to update my mod for A20.
    (Hopefully the Romero core module has also been updated for A20 since I depend on that.)

    I have not played A20 yet unfortunately but I will get back into soon.
    Give me a few weeks, I will keep you posted.....
    I will review other feedback once I start updating the Mod.

      So glad to know you're still around. I've been trying to mod 7DTD for different kinds of runs but I can't quite get something that is as enjoyable as your modpack was. Really looking forward to your update later on.
