About this mod

Exploration beginns...


7 new Weapontypes added!

The first part "only" supplys 7 new weapons, a new weaponlayout with multiple hardpoints and weapons at once and a new ammunition system.

The Exploration part actually turned out to be a standalone:

The community, or at least whats left of it was hoping for new weapons so i took on all those countless hours of fun and frustration. ^-^

So ... here is the early alpha of the first part of this mod.

Important!

Bugs and Handycaps the player has to deal with in v0.21:
1. Don't buy weapons of the same kind but different versions (Mk1, Mk2 ... or maybe Mk3? ;x)
--> It will screw up your weaponselection menu, but its easy to fix. Just sell the kind you don't wanna have and the mod recreates the usual hardpoint layout.
--> So, only Mk1 or Mk2 or Mk3, not mixed!
2. To fix the layout, the script will fill empy hardpoints, i'll try to fix it but if you wanna keep it real, buy all 4 weapons, not just 1. Its practicly a money cheat if you sell 4 and buy 1... just don't do it. Working on it!
3. If you have bought Railguns or Mass Drivers and you're just out of ammo, they will be shown as not existing in the trademenu (no worries, they are still selectable in the weapon selection, just not usable until you bought ammo).
If you buy them again, nothing will happen exept you loosing the spent money.
4. Upon buying/selling ammo or weapons started ammo containers will reset.

Those are the known.
I'm not sure yet how many of them can be fixed yet, but i'll try. :)
If you find more, please post them. We better find them sooner than later. :p

Ammo can be bought from Equipment Traders!

Chain Laser:
- fast firing weapon, comparable to the Particle Repeater.
- 4 hardpoints

Ion Cannon:
- nearly 0 damage against hull
- strong against shields, chance to harm all module's shields of a ship
- 4 hardpoints

Railgun:
- ammo usage (100 bullets per ammo-container)
- fast firing, strong weapon
- long range
- 4 hardpoints

Mass Driver:
- ammo usage (12 bullets per ammo-container)
- slow firing, very strong weapon
- very long range
- 3 hardpoints

Repair Laser:
- well, it repairs ships ;s
- 1 hardpoint

Photon Emitter:
- Beam weapon with excellent accuracy
- 5 hardpoint

Unkown:
Speculations about Xenon experiments became public,
but nobody seems to believe them.

Those stats are experimental, post me your suggestions!

Installation:
Extract the data of the downloaded file and copy the LostWeapons
folder to you extensions directory in the X-Rebirth installdirectory.

Updating:
Simply delete the old modfolder and add the new one.

Deinstallation:
1. Don't use your weapons, wait a couple seconds and save.
2. Download RemoveLostWeapons, active the mod, load your last saved savegame, save when the message tells you and remove 
both mods, LostWeapons and RemoveLostWeapons.
Done. :)
