...::: BETTER AMBIENT SFX :::...

What does it short:
- Replace anoying humming sounds of spacestations with more decent sounds
- Replaces elevator music in VIP-Lounges with "Kraftwerk"-Loop
- Replaces the music inside the bars with a "Electro"-Loop
- Get´s rid of the original double sound effect in bars with a fix

What does the mod do long:
It replaces the sound in landing areas and inside stations. I am playing with headphones, and I serously got slightly mad when staying to long in a station because of that humming sound. Looking at the original sound.xml of the game, that bloody sound came out of the lights, shild generators and ventingmachines, sometimes you hear it 3-4 times at once, depending on where you are...

So here is a more decent replacement, and it sounds much more better.

And btw , I changed that crappy Trance barsound into a other. feel free to mod the mod with your favorite loop - just put it in the /sfx/ambient/platform and rename it to interior_bar_music_03.wav - use 16-Bit PCM WAV MONO - I tried leghth up to 1 min, but it propably works with longer loops.

HOW TO CHANGE BAR SOUND TO YOUR OWN TUNE:

- Take your favorite tune in a audio-editor, for example audacity 2.0 (freeware).
- if you use audacity or an other audio-editor, cut your stereo tune in 2 Mono Voices, delete 1 Voice or mix both lanes into 1 new mono Voice
- save the remaining 1 mono voice as "uncompressed Format" with the options Header: WAV, Codec: Signed 16-bit PCM
- open your programs/steam/ .... Xrebirth folder
- open the extensions folder and go into better_ambient_sfxsfxambientplatform
- here you see a file: interior_bar_music_03.wav , rename your WAV with that filename and copy it there.
- start game, go into bar, listen to your own loop or tune
- if there is just nothing playing, you choose the wrong codec or your tune still maybe stereo. If you done everything right, it should play.

Installation
Create folder "extensions" if not exists in C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonX Rebirth - or whereever your Steam is located.
extract the ZIP archive there, start game.
