About this mod

Does it get annoying that your Blueshirts won't pick up better gear before rushing out to assist the REAL XCom Soldiers? This mod adds to the groundwork set by JL and the Long War team with their Beam weapon foundry project which allows Blueshirts to bring Beam Rifles.

NOTE: THE BLUESHIRTS DON'T ALWAYS PICK UP THE IMPROVED WEAPONS/ARMOR.  THIS IS SOMETHING THAT OCCURS IN VANILLA WAR ALSO WITH THE BEAM RIFLES.  IN 5 DIFFERENT RUNS THERE IS ALWAYS AT LEAST 2 BLUESHIRTS THAT BRING IMPROVED WEAPONS/ARMOR, BUT IF YOU DON'T LOSE SOLDIERS YOU WON'T GET NEW BLUESHIRTS SO IF THE FIRST TWO COME OUT WITH BALLISTIC THAT'S WHAT YOU'LL GET.

I do intend to look into making sure the improved weapons/armor are always equipped and will release a new version as soon as I've worked that out.

This mod changes one aspect of the Long War gameplay.  Instead of Blueshirts acting irrationally they will now equip better armor and weapons based on what's available.  Beam Rifles was a great first step taken by the Long War developers, but I felt like the late game Base Defense was a bit ridiculous to have Blueshirts on doing 2-3 damage.

Blueshirt Weapon on Base Defense: Now Blueshirts will bring even better gear than just beam class
weaponry when they join the fight in Base Defense missions.  The weapons will be prioritized
as follows:
-Pulse Carbine
-Pulse Rifle
-Gauss Carbine
-Gauss Rifle
-Beam Carbine
-Beam Rifle

Blueshirt Armor on Base Defense: Your already improved Blueshirts will now grab better armor
on their way to support the real soldiers in bas defense missions, priority as follows:
-Aegis
-Carapace
-Banshee
-Phalanx

Blueshirt Items: Blueshirts will always be equipped with the following first two items:
-Medkit
-Flashbang

Thanks to Azxeus for doing the majority of the hex editing for this mod.  I knew what I wanted to do but couldn't have got there without his help.
