About this mod

What else is there to say? The cake is a lie.. or the aliens stole it. Either way, you will not get one.

IMPORTANT! Update: Appearantly X-Com can't handle a Voice-Clip that goes over the 5 seconds-mark. When the game tries to play one it results in a CDT. Tested this with a couple of VoiceLines to confirm it. For this reason I had to cut or speed-up (just a little, for most) a few. So get the newest version, otherwise you get CTDs.

GLaDOS MECVoicePack for XCOM Enemy Within - Long War
Version 1.1

Voice Samples belong to Valve ©

"What is it, Shen?" - "A whole new kind of genetic warfare... Also a very mean one."

FOREWORD
This VoicePack has about 90 unique lines. Gladly MECs dont have as many events to comment on as normal soldiers.
So this VoicePack should be fine regarding variety in comments. Except for Reload and Low Ammo, both have only one, but I think that should be ok.

Also to note is, that GLaDOS is not just a meanie towards the invading scum but also on occassions towards you, the commander, and towards her comrades - especially after you screw up. So don't get your feelings hurt while fielding her. Instead, laugh with her when she flammenwerfs, proxymines or just punches the living crap out of  aliens and comments in a funny way on it.

But still, be warned - I'm just saying: She has about 11 different lines for when a friendly is killed, so.. yeah.

REQUIREMENTS
XCOM Enemy Within
Long War Beta 15

INSTALLATION
1.) Extract the GlaDos directory into <XCOM Install Directory>\XEW\XComGame\CookedPCConsole

It does'nt matter if its a subfolder or not. Just drag&drop it in "CookedPCConsole". You can also drop it in the subfolder "Voices" there, if you want.
X-Com will find any VoiceFiles as long as they are in that directory overall.

2.) Add the following two lines after or somewhere between the other Long War "VoicePackageInfo=" lines (e.g. search for "Australian English")
in <XCOM Install Directory>\XEW\XComGame\Config\DefaultContent.ini

; MEC Voice: GlaDos
VoicePackageInfo=(VoiceType=eCharVoice_FemaleMec1,Language=36,ArchetypeName="MECVoice_GlaDos.MECVoice_GlaDos")

Now, this is new. Since MECs have already so few voices anyway, Language=36 will make it so, that this VoicePack is
in a new category under voices, ingame. This category is simply called "unnassigned". There's nothing to it, it's just
better than overwriting the standard ones, I think. If you have other MEC-VoicePacks, just change the number afer "FemaleMec" to a free slot.

3.) Remember that you will need to do edit this into the INI everytime you update your game/Long War mod.

Feedback and bug/glitch-reports are welcome, since I used a faster method to create this VoicePack.
