Allows you to crank up the game speed at the press of a key so it doesn't feel like soldiers are wading through molasses.
Tactical 1.0x 1.8x, 2.5x speed functions, (yakety sax music optional).
Strategy 0.2x 1x 1.8x 4x speed fuctions.

Here Is my own Defaultinput setup I use, I hope you find it useful. I tried to use keys that no-one uses in their own game so it shouldn't conflict. Allows you to crank up the game speed so it doesn't feel like soldiers are wading through molasses.
INSTALLATION Instructions
1. MAKE A BACKUP COPY of your defaultinput.ini, this is super easy and you'll be able to revert changes.
2. See step 1.
3.Drop this file into: Steam/steamapps/common/XCom-Enemy-Unknown/XEW/Xcomgame/Config
4. Ludicrous speed, GO!

Minus (-) Normal Speed
Equals (=) 1.8x Speed
Insert (Ins) 2.5x Speed
Delete (Del) Kill all aliens and win Mission (Cheat)

Equals 1.8x Speed
Insert 4x Speed (AKA Hurry up Sky Ranger!)
Delete 0.2x Speed (for super fine tuned scan timing)
