Changelogs
Version 0.1.8.3
• Updated for WoT V0.8.11 (still works for v8.10 too) • Added the new maps: Windstorm, Winter Himmelsdorf, & Ruinberg on Fire • Fixed bug which sometimes prevented any files from being copied • Added and fixed some tooltips and other ui stuff
Version 0.1.8.2
• Just a small update to fix some annoying bugs mentioned below. Another beta version soon. • Fixed the maplist, tundra was in the wrong row • Fixed the odd bluish vignetting by disabling 'common_environment' postfx. • Fixed skydome for Northwest map.
Version 0.1.8.1
• Updated for WoT v0.8.10 - Previous versions will NOT work for v0.8.10! • Added new map: Hidden Village • Old logfile is deleted when the application starts • HDR (not bloom) disabled. • God-rays and lens-flares disabled. • Cloud shadows disabled. • Fog disabled.
Version 0.1.8
• v1.8 will be a beta version. Not much in the initial release changed, but future revisions will probably break things. • Added option to choose what # of random maps is selected by default. • Modified error handling and added exception logging. No size limit yet! • Log located in '%TEMP%LightsOutLogsErrors.log' • Fixed directories in settings window sometimes not saving/loading • Fixed some instances of incorrect status messages • Saving should be slightly faster. Still need to fix thread-lock. • Fixed bug which prevented saving map selection, or executing the launch target, even with valid settings. • Modified the routine for checking initial game directory, version, launch target, preferences directory, etc.
Version 0.1.7
• Updated for 0.8.9, added new map: Northwest • Minor fixes, mostly to UI elements • This update was supposed to be much larger but I lost a significant amount of work, will redo during the next couple of weeks
Version 0.1.6
• Added a licence (don't sue me bro), changelog, & about page to the menu . • Added the ability to select various levels of luminescence. Details below. • Added new maps: Tundra & Great Wall (disabled for now) • Pearl River, Sacred Valley, Severogorsk are now affected by the randomize function. • Fixed the method for retrieving the game version. Was previously not working for all the patches. • Widepark map fixed • Added options menu: --Launch button target --WoT folder --WoT settings folder (contains preferences.xml) --Luminescence: Four choices. Simple way to change the brightness for now. --Can now manually change game version ("v#.#.# Common Test" is required if target is the test client) --Launch XVM (if found) in addition to whatever you chose as the launch target --Delete mod files on exit (moved from menu bar) - Config file moved from %LOCALAPPDATA% to %APPDATA% for most people. Depends on roaming availability. • Removed "advanced" button. I'll get around to finishing that stuff when summer's over. • The menu button that opens a link to the forum page for this mod now only opens one window/tab.
Version 0.1.5.1
• Added new map: Severogorsk • Fixed problem with creating the wrong folder in res_mods for 0.8.7
Version 0.1.5
• Added profiles. Mostly benefits users with multiple installations of WoT for now until I expand the functionality of the app. • Ability to adjust game preferences is 90% complete. Just finishing up the supported resolution filter logic, maybe a borderless-windowed option too. • Launch button works so long as there is a valid game directory chosen. No longer required to save first. • Fixed some bugs, tightened up the code, & wrestled a bear.
Version 0.1.4.2
• Fixed a bug with Sand River only changing its sky. I was erroneously naming the the XML as sky28_River_Desert.xmlq
Version 0.1.4.1
• Fixed browse dialog (was opening twice) and other bugs.
Version 0.1.4
• Added some more error handling • Added user settings for saving the version/gamedir • Added 'Options -> delete mod files on exit'. Useful if you don't want to continue using the night maps the next time you start the game. • Implemented the structure for profiles which will be finished in the next update. Some players have multiple WoT installs for different regions, this is for you guys. • Added some tooltips
Version 0.1.3
• Removed the "find wot folder automatically" feature until I figure out a better solution as it was causing a severe problem for some setups
Version 0.1.2
• Detects game version automagically now. Mod will work fine with just about any version of the game. • Added help > info menu option • Fixed some UI issues • Fixed some other small issues
Version 0.1.1
• Discontinued script
This mod basically changes day to night. Includes stars, a planet, and various other small improvements. Choose what maps you want to change either randomly or manually, then launch the game and enjoy.
LOv0.1.8.3 still has the blue tint happening around the screen, app was putting the ppchain in the wrong folder. You can fix this yourself by going to: '$/res_mods/8.11/system', create a folder named 'post_processing' and move the 'chains' folder inside the folder you just created. Fixed in latest version.
The UI is not complete! Will be fixed in the next version soon.
Compatibility with other mods
The only issue is with other mods that modify the sky.xml, or the skybox visual/primitive files. Examples would be Max Farplane/Visibility mods, lighting mods, anything that drastically changes the environment such as winter mod.
This will cease to be an issue in one of the upcoming beta patches. Existing files in the res_mods folder will be tagged with some metadata and backed up to the store. The mod will keep track of what config each map should be using.
