----- Updated Info 2024 ------

The mod is updated for the Next-Gen Edition! All the previous separate hair mods for the Classic Edition have been grouped in two single packs, named Bordeaux and BrightRed and together with all the previous optional files have been moved to the "Old Files" section.

The latest uploaded files are compatible with both Next-Gen and Classic Editions unless specified differently! This is thanks to simplifying the file structure and reducing the need for edits to Triss w2ent files that are usually are the cause of incompatibilities. Hence, all these custom hair mods should work with other Triss-changing mods now! ;)

Added an optional file (now in V2) that gives Triss her own unique and better green eyes not shared with other NPCs!!!
A continuation of my other mod, Unique Eyes for All Witchers!!!

Now you can also find the "fix" for the infamous clipping issue of the vanilla DLC hairstyle of Triss when viewed from the left side. You can choose between the original color and bordeaux color variants!

After receiving quite a few requests and dealing with incompatibility issues, I have now created a new optional file that makes Triss use her DLC hairstyles with her default appearance and also completely removes the hood from both her default and DLC appearance. You can get it here or in my other mod page: Triss and Yennefer and Ciri Hood Removal Mods Beware though of clipping, especially due to the high collar of Triss's default clothes! The file is named DLCHairForDefaultTrissAndHoodRemoval and you can find it in the "Optional Files" section! You can combine it with any of the new custom hairstyles, so mix'n'match at your leisure! This file is only for the Classic Edition and must be used with the hir mods designated as compatible with the Classic Edition of the game!

----- Also ------

1) Fixed a duplicate folder structure issue with Custom hair 2 bordeaux color variant, thanks @Morphellianus

2) New alternate design for the star-shaped hair jewel of Triss that now features a fully symmetric design

3) New files to better fit Triss's star-shaped hair jewel on the different hairstyles (= basically eliminated all unseemly gaps)

4) Added optional file to remove Triss underwear from her DLC dress (please don't ask why/who/when)

Improved Triss (Realistically)
---------------------------------------------

Hey there!

If you haven't already, I guess you are starting to realize where I am going with the "Realistically" in every title?

No?

Me neither! It's probably got something to do with the fact that for the past month "Realistically" is my new favorite word as it describes adequately what I perceived in Witcher 3 to be lacking. My modding efforts have been entirely concentrated at improving those aspects that I feel prevent Witcher3 from attaining my standards of perfection and realistic beauty (or beautiful realism if you prefer). ;)

Description
-------------------

There are now 15 distinct MAIN files in the downloads page:

a) DLCTrissCustomHair1 v3.0 Bordeaux Color Same as the older version DLCTrissCustomHair1 v2.0 but now the clipping problem of the hair jewel with the new custom hair has been fixed, resolutely. Needed some trickery to achieve it, but overall it was achieved withing original time constraints as set previously by the term "soonish". xD xD

b) DLCTrissCustomHair2 v2.0 Bordeaux Color Same as the older version DLCTrissCustomHair2 v1.0 but also removes the hood from the DLC appearance of Triss.

c) DLCTrissCustomHair3 v2.0 Bordeaux Color Brings a new (elven) hairstyle to Triss and also removes the hood from her DLC appearance.

d) DLCTrissCustomHair4 v2.0 Bordeaux Color Brings Vivienne's hairstyle to Triss and also removes the hood from her DLC appearance.

e) DLCTrissCustomHair4 v3Alternative Bordeaux Color An alternative version of DLCTrissCustomHair4_v2.0 that solves the 'thinness" issue. Check photo!

f) DLCTrissCustomHair5 v1 Bordeaux Color A braided-type hairstyle for Triss that also makes her eyes greener. Highly suggested to use it alongisde the ABsoluteDLCHoodRemoval optional mod if you want to remove Triss's hood from her DLC appearance.

g) DLCTrissCustomHair1 v3.0 BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair1 v3.0 but with brighter red hair color.

h) DLCTrissCustomHair2 v2.0 BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair2 v2.0 but with brighter red hair color.

i) DLCTrissCustomHair3 v2.0 BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair3 v2.0 but with brighter red hair color.

j) DLCTrissCustomHair4 v2.0 BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair4 v2.0 but with brighter red hair color.

k) DLCTrissCustomHair4 v3Alternative BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair4_v3Alternative but with brighter red hair color.

l) TrissDefaultHairForDLCAppearance Now you can have Triss's default hair when you enable her DLC appearance. Plus, all instances of hood wearing have been completely removed from her DLC appearance and Triss will use the DLC dress when yo go to the masquerade when her DLC is enabled.

m) DLCTrissHairFixedBordeauxColor_v1 A 1st tentative fix for the vanilla DLC hairstyle of Triss recolored to a deep-red hue of Bordeaux. Had it kinda lying around and thought about uploading it at last as it has been asked often. It's not 100% perfect, but that may not even be possible. If you use it, kindly test it out extensively and let me know how it looks. You can use it together with the optional files and the ABsoluteHoodRemoval is highly recommended!

n) DLCTrissHairFixedOriginalColor_v1 Same as DLCTrissHairFixedBordeauxColor_v1 but with the original hair color of Triss.

o) DLCTrissCustomHair5 v1 BrightRed Color Same as the DLCTrissCustomHair5_v1Bordeaux but with brighter red hair color.

There are also a TON of OPTIONAL files:

1) DLCHairForDefaultTrissAndHoodRemoval you can now enjoy her new custom DLC hairstyles with her default appearance. Plus it removes completely the hood from her default and DLC appearance. You can also use it as a standalone if, you prefer her default DLC hair. Just make sure it loads higher than my custom hairstyle mods (I have already named it accordingly).

2) DLCTrissHairJewelRecolor_v2.0  that changes the color of Triss's jewels when in her DLC appearance from blue to darker green (compared to the older version DLCTrissHairJewelRecolor v1.0) to better match her eyes. You can use this also with any other Triss mod out there as long as you give it higher priority. I have already named it accordingly, but you never know...

3) DefaultTrissHairRecolor that changes the color of Triss's default carrot-red hair to bordeaux to better maych her hair color from TW2 (or at least as I remembered it). Same guidelines apply as before, it is already named in such a way as to be relatively high in mod order and overwrite other Triss changing mods. If it doesn't work for you then rename it for even higher priority.

4) DLCTrissTiaraRemoved  removes Triss's tiara completely from her DLC appearance. You can use this also with any other Triss mod out there as long as you give it higher priority. I have already named it accordingly, but you never know...

5) DLCTrissTiaraReworked modifies it slightly by removing the teardrop shape from the bottom part. You can use this also with any other Triss mod out there as long as you give it higher priority. I have already named it accordingly, but you never know...

6) AbsoluteDLCHoodRemovalAndSmallChanges which removes the hood of Triss completely (had forgotten previously to delete it from the torture quest/scene) and also makes Triss use her DLC hairstyle with the Masquerade dress when DLC appearance is disabled, use her DLC dress when the Triss DLC is enabled and makes Triss use her DLC appearance when she shows up in the villa in BloodAndWine. Use this mod with any custom hairstyle combination or Tiara mod you prefer! :)

7) DLCTrissHairStarJewelRemoved that removes completely the hair star-shaped jewel from Triss's DLC appearance. Can be used with all hair variants and can also be combined with the Tiara Reworked/Removed and Recolored Jewels mods.

8) DLCTW2TrissWithDLCHair This is a compatibility file that allows the use of any custom DLC hairstyle (or vanilla DLC hairstyle) with the DLC version of the great TW2 Triss mod by Scoutbr0

9) Unique Eyes for Triss V3: Made for Triss her own unique set of olive green and shiny eyes, not shared with any other NPC! Now Triss is 100% unique !!! Compatible with all of my main files and other Triss mods (except those that also change her eyes), just give it higher priority (already named it accordingly)!

10) TrissDLCRemoveUndewear: Does what it says on the tin, can be used with other Triss mods that don't break compatibility for stupid reasons. Keep in mind to install a genitalia mod for best results xD

11) 2x versions that offer much improvement placements of Triss's star-shaped hair jewel. Basically eliminated all unseemly gaps between the accessory and Triss's hair. The 2x versions are bst suited for either "THICK" hair, like the custom hairstyle 1 or "THIN" hair, like the custom hairstyle 5 and they are named accordingly. Need highest priority to work and can be used with either color variants here and/or other Triss hair mods out there (unless see previous number #10).

12) A new alternate version of the star-shaped hair jewel of Triss that now features a fully symmetric design. Check photos to see the differences.

Given the way they are packed, you can only use ONE main file at a time. So choose whichever you prefer and place it (unzipped!) inside the "mods" folder in your base game directory (if you are reading this then you probably already know that ;) ). Then add some optional files for an even better effect!

Don't forget to take some screenshots and upload them here. They are much appreciated!!! If you like my mod remember to endorse, vote, shout out in the comments, etc ! ;)

Notices
--------------

1) You may notice irregularly some slight clipping or weird positioning of the new hairstyles with Triss's hood and body. This is normal and can't be remedied, why do you think CDPR only used short hairstyles on Triss ? But, if you notice anything else serious, let me know!

2) Most of the screenshots were taken with my reshade on, if you are interested in that, head over to this page: Realistically Gritty Reshade

3) Having tested, mods works fine with the nude mods of jochan and HQFaces by Holgar, IF you let them have higher priority (I have renamed them in such a way so that they load higher). You can try to do the same with any other Triss altering mod you have and see what gets overwritten.

4) Keep in mind that I have removed from all mod packages here the lowest quality meshes, so if you are torn between my model changes and mods that improve lods and increase faces/hair quality, then don't worry as much because I understand you and that's why I have only include the two higher quality meshes.

Old Versions
----------------

DLCTrissCustomHair1 v2.0 Same as the older version DLCTrissCustomHair1 v2.0 but also removes the hood from the DLC appearance of Triss. Yay!

DLCTrissCustomHair1 v1.0 uses the ponytail hairstyle, uniquely colored for Triss (meaning it isn't shared with any other NPC) to a darker shade of red better resembling TW2 Triss's hair color. In addition, Triss's eyes are now greener in color again for the same purpose.

DLCTrissCustomHair2 v1.0 uses the long hairstyle, uniquely colored for Triss (meaning it isn't shared with any other NPC) to a darker shade of red better resembling TW2 Triss's hair color. In addition, Triss's eyes are now greener in color again for the same purpose and the Tiara is removed because it was hidden for the most part anyway.

DLCTrissHairJewelRecolor v1.0  that changes the color of Triss's Hair jewel when in her DLC appearance from blue to green to better match her eyes (I literally sampled her eye color in Photoshop and recolored the hair jewel)! You van use this also with any other Triss mod out there as long as you give it higher priority. I have already named it accordingly, but you never know...

--------------------
Future Plans
--------------------

1) Recolor with new reshade the default Triss hairstyle

2) Remove Triss hood from DLC appearance

3) Recolor DLC hair jewelry from blue to green (that was the easy part) and move it to the right for DLCTrissCustomHair1 = soonish (you get where this is going xD )

FYI
----------------
These appearance changing mods may not work on some occasions when using spawn commands from the console.

MasterOfTheRings He put up a lot with me and I thank him profusely for his understanding and patience! Check his great work here: MoTR Mod Collection

Also, I must thank AirshipCircus, Holgar, Cap14, Xaroon, and all others I may have forgotten for sharing their wisdom and offering advice ever since I arrived to the W3 modding scene about 1 month ago and the incredible work they have done for this community. I couldn't have done this on my own, so go on and check out their amazing work!
