What this mod DOES?
- Adds Stamina Cost to basic actions such as:
- Fast and Strong Attack
- Parry/Counter
- Dodge and Roll
- It also:
- Adds a delay before Stamina starts Regenerating after performing an action
- Prevents the player from 'infinite' blocking, when your stamina drops to 0 you won't be able to Block and will get hit.
What this mod DOESN'T do?
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a way add a 'minimal Stamina value' to perform an action. In other words, even with 0 Stamina you will still be able to spam your attacks, rolls and dodges with the exception of Blocking, for some reason Block does require Stamina to work, if you deplete your Stamina you won't be able to block (no more infite blocking when swarmed by Wolves).
Why?
Well, the purpose of this small change is to discourage people from spamming Signs/Roll while trying to encourage a more tactical and
thoughtful approach to combat.
Specifics:
- Fast Attack now costs 10 Stamina
- Strong Attack now costs 15 Stamina
- Parry (Block) now costs 10 Stamina
- Counter now costs 3 Stamina
- Dodge now costs 3 Stamina
- Roll now costs 30 Stamina
- 1 sec delay before Stamina starts Regenerating after performing an action
INSTALL (this mod requires the 1.05 patch to work):
1. Download the mod from this page.
2. Navigate to your Witcher 3 install folder (for example. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher 3)
3. From there navigate to ...Witcher 3\content\patch0\bundles
4. Make a BACK UP of patch.bundle (THIS IS IMPORTANT, if you don't do this you won't be able to uninstall this mod, you can simply rename the original to something like bundleORGINAL.patch)
5. Extract the mod into ...Witcher 3\content\patch0\bundles
6. Play and enjoy the game.
UNINSTALL:
1. Remove modded patch.bundle
2. Rename the BACK UP file you made earlier to patch.bundle
3. That's it.
