Description

Better Combat Enhanced (BCE) is a popular mod that adjusts combat difficulty curve of the Witcher 3 game. Unfortunately both the original mod and its "maintenance fork" modBCEm have been effectively discontinued by the time of patch 1.21. The modBCEu is a second fork having the purpose to keep up with the current version of the game and HoS/B&W expansions. Initially it has been made for personal purposes, but due to many complaints and requests I decided to release it for the public use.

Installation
  • Unzip and copy the modBCEu folder into the [Witcher3 main folder]/Mods/ (create if not exist). You do not need to install the original BCE in order to use BCEu. Also, you do not need to start a new game, as BCEu will apply its changes to a pre-existent savegame on load.
  • (Strongly recommended) Run Script Merger (by AnotherSymbiote) to check for, and resolve any conflicts with other mods you might be using.
  • Important Note: If you have script compilation errors, It's most likely due to lack of telemetryKeywoard.ws file. Check your game installation for that file, if it's not there, create it, as instructed in the description by the previous link.

Uninstallation
  • Remove the modBCEu folder from the [Witcher3 main folder]/Mods/.
  • Unzip and copy the modBCErm folder into the [Witcher3 main folder]/Mods/.
  • Launch game once, load your saved game, make a new save and close the game.
  • Remove the modBCErm folder from the [Witcher3 main folder]/Mods/.
  • Load the save you made and redistribute your skill points as you wish.

Known issues
  • Some string errors in descriptions of perks and trophies (tied to the way popup descriptions are generated by the interface, cannot "fix" without breaking too many other things).
  • Possible imbalanced enemies with Hearts of Stone and/or Blood & Wine expansions (none found so far, but your mileage may vary).
