The reason given by the author is: Too many people are complaining / having problems, and I just don't have the time to deal with this now. Sorry.
Thank you to the people who endorsed and/or followed the instructions. I may bring this back some day if I have some spare time to make improvements (and make it a bit more idiot-proof).
