Hello...

Because I have no favorite character in the game but wanted to participate in the mod contest, I decided to create an outfit for my favorite place ... the City of Novigrad.
So I hope this counts for the Christmas Witcher Mod Contest^^


This Mod basically adds a made from the scratch christmas tree to the main square of novigrad.
I dont know if it looks like...but it took me hell of time to create all this and bring it ingame.

I really wanted to add more but the limitations of the engine or lets say the access to the in depht editing opportunities was too limited.
Thats why there are some little bugs like partly missing shadows or low poly models.

Anyway I hope you enjoy it and participation in Contest is granted(?)



Installation:

- use nexus mod manager

OR

-- just extract the rar content to your witcher3root/mods folder and start the game
-
OPTIONAL: because the games highest shadow option is too low to enable bugfree shadow for the tree you have to increase the cascade shadowdistancescale0 value to at least 6...I made a little 1min tutorial video if you dont know how to do that (or use UGOM)

Compatibility:

- does not work with Novigrad LOD modifying mods!!!


Bugs:

- might cause massive frame drops depending on your machine because of super masspoly Christmas Tree
- Tree shadow only works with Cascadeshadowdistancescale0=6+++(check installation section)
- no shadows for Candycanes
- Background flickering when closely looking at the root of the tree
- you dont get any christmas gifts form them gifboxes
