This mod is recommended for those who have no dedicated graphics card, thus making The Witcher 2 almost impossibly playable!
This has been tweaked for Intel HD Graphics 4000, so newer integrated gpus should play better than the 4000. Try lowering all settings first before resorting to this one.

This has been tweaked for Intel HD Graphics 4000, so newer integrated gpus should play better than the 4000. Try lowering all settings first before resorting to this one.
For better performance at the expense of quality:
What this tweak does:
- Bypass the Options setting to lower graphics quality further than what the game launcher allows you to.
- Reduce texture size to 512x512 pixels.
- Disables all graphic effects.
- Changes your game resolution to 800x600.
Installation:
- Extract contents.
- Rename original "User.ini" from My Documents\Witcher 2\Config\ to "User-backup.ini"
- Copy "User.ini" to My Documents\Witcher 2\Config\ and then replace when prompted.
Optional installation step:
- Open the copied "User.ini" and set "TextureMemoryBudget" according to the amount of your GPU memory, the default is approximately 1.5gb.
Uninstallation:
- Delete "User.ini" to uninstall and then rename "User-backup.ini" to "User.ini"
Notes:
- I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NOT OPEN "OPTIONS" IN THE LAUNCHER AS THIS MAY OVERRIDE THE TWEAK UPON CLOSE. IF YOU DO, PLEASE REDO THE STEPS. If you need to change the resolution of the game, do it through the User.ini file.

- Please use a "bigger fonts" mod to make the text readable, I haven't asked for any permission from any mod author so I won't be including any font mod in the files. In order for a font mod to work, you would have to download the optional file included. Just extract and copy paste the contents to the Config folder. Make a backup of the original .ini file just in case.
