This mod will restore the 5:1 ratio between purchase and sale prices that is found in the original Witcher game. At present, the Witcher 2 appears to have a 24:1 ratio which some have found a bit harsh.

How It Works & Notes:

items\def_item_schematics.xml adds a property to the quest item Witchers Silver Sword Diagram which will apply a substantial discount to store prices without affecting sales prices. This discount stacks with the Mysterious Merchant's 30% discount.

items\def_prices.xml raises all prices so that after discounts are applied, items should appear at their pre-modding prices, but, the sale values will be higher. This file is not strictly required.
By not using this file, all purchase prices will be much lower and all sale prices would remain the same as before modding. Your quest reward money would go further.
By using this file, you may instead be able to generate a good income selling herbs and other items but this may unbalance the game further than just a straight discount on purchase prices.

abilities\geralt_basic.xml adjusts the Haggler perk/ability to work with this mod. You will still receive a 20% discount. (Not yet tested but should work)


Requirements: Witcher Silver Sword Diagram in your inventory (Acquired at the very beginning of Act 1 in a glowing crate just after you jump off of Roche's ship as part of the quest "A Sword for Monsters").

Compatibility: In the event that this mod interferes with others, such as carry weight increase mods, there is a DIY.TXT file included instructing you how to manually edit the necessary files.

Installation: Extract "Market Price Mod 1.2.zip" into C:\Program Files (x86)\The Wicther 2\CookedPC\
Your directory path may differ.

Users of version 1.0 should delete def_item_misc.xml before updating.
