Dilemma Mod 1.0 (story difficulty mod) by byblo for State of Decay YOSE edition
   -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Presentation:
-------------

This mod mainly makes the game harder by rarifying everything, like the vehicles, the melees, pistols, backpack, medecines, ect... Searching a LOT to find barely NOTHING.
Also, some idiot broke the radar during his holidays, so guess its time to learn how to read a map -_-
(See changelog for details)

Why this mod? I LOVE SoD, but few hours after starting a new game on story mode, I always end wondering myself: "why bother to keep scavenging, where my supply locker is already full with 100 melees, 100 pistols and 1000 other stuffs?... Why bother to preserve my melees and cars when I can find them everywhere"

I feel SoD is suffering by what I call the "survival-in-a-supermarket' syndrome, like many others 'survival' games around. How to get the survival fun and feeling, when, after scavenging few houses already, you get out from there with almost everything you will need to the rest of the game?

Thus, I needed a mod where I'll cry of hapiness when eventually finding a pistol, a durable melee or simply a backpack after hours of searching...

This is what the mod is about, searching a lot, with very few results, forcing us to keep getting out, taking hard decisions and risks.

This said, and unfortunately, the game being very forgiving, the result is not totally satistfying me. Maybe a V2 will make it much harder, we will see later :)

Installation:
-------------
- Ensure first you dont have installed yet any other mod that changing the gameplay!
- Copy the content of the \SoD_Dilemma_YOSE_1.0\ folder into your State of Decay game folder.

IMPORTANT NOTE - DLC's COMPATIBILITY:
------------------------------------
Since Breakdown and lifetime DLC sharing some files with the main story mode, I do not recommend you play a new DLC game while the Dilemma mod is installed:
It is highly recommended to play only the story mode while Dilemma mod is installed!

For instance, the file: Game\levels\Class3\vehicle_spawns_win.markup is shared between the story and the DLC Breakdown...
Which mean if you start a new Breakdown game, the vehicles spawn position will be from the Dilemma mod...

This said, if someone enjoying this mod on DLC (radar still broken, ect...), maybe I can also mod the Breakdown and the Lifetime DLC, the same way I did for the story mode: new vehicles positions, lot of searching for few results, harder, ect...

IMPORTANT NOTE - This version is NOT compatible with the non-YOSE edition:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can find the non-YOSE version here: http://www.nexusmods.com/stateofdecay/mods/408/

Recommendations:
----------------

Since this mod is heavily changing the gameplay, it is not recommended to use with another SoD mod that modify it.

This said, I recommend you play the Dilemma mod with those mods:
- HD Map and HD Minimap Mod
- new Blood Fire and Smoke
- new flashlight texture
- NoGlowingZedEyes
- No More Tutorial Tips (WARNING! Install ONLY the 'hints.win.bmd' file. DO NOT replace any Dilemma's dds files!)

Tools used:
-----------

- Phacops-MultiTool_and_Vehicle_Pack (ingame debugging tool)
- SoD_win_markup (vehicle_spawns_win.markup map editor)
- SoDtool_driverSitPos (vehicles xml developping tool)
- SoD_clipsearch (search developping tool)
- Gimp (image editor)
- VirtualDub (video editor and capture)
- medianoche (usm video encoder)

Differences between YOSE and non-YOSE version:
---------------------------------------------
- search.win.bmd should now showing much more highlighted props, which should make the game a bit longer and harder. To compensate, increased by 10 to 30% the drop of some stuffs in some cases, like the resources, ect...
- Small changes here and there.

Uff... Been a lot of work². Have fun! :)
