Play the main SoD story/campaign mode like a badass: 2 weapon specializations, 2 special techniques, core group of survivors have powerhouse and reflexes, and better weapons & skills. Carry more ammo, make better suppressors, make more ammo & mines/grenades/etc. Improved facilities, more outposts, more storage space, no move-in requirements, etc.

Permissions and credits
This mod is for the main story/campaign version of State of Decay (YOSE). 

Changes:

1) The main group (Marcus, Ed, Maya, Sam, and Jacob) all have the "badass" trait, which gives them  both reflexes and powerhouse skills, boosts their cardio, wits fighting and shooting to at least 4, and gives hidden XP boosts to level the rest of their skills quicker. Most have additional expertise: Maya  has medical, tools and chemistry expertise, Ed has cooking expertise, Jacob has research expertise, and Sam has fitness expertise. They all have different weapons as well: Marcus starts with a crowbar, a CLEO axe, a regular Axe, and arguably the best rifle in the game, Ed has a Viking Sword and CLEO LMG, Maya has a special assault rifle that also shoots grenades, Sam has a Spartan sword, a CLEO LMG, and an incendiary shotgun, and Jacob has the Wingate Rifle (built in suppressor) and a new Brushhook;


2) All survivors can now have two weapon specializations: 1 melee weapon specialization (blunt, edged, or heavy) and 1 firearm specialization (Pistol, Revolver, Rifle, Assault Rifle or Shotgun);



3) All survivors can have 2 special techniques: Special Technique A (marathon or ninja) and Special Technique B (Combat Endurance, Rage or Focus Aim);



4) The ammo carrying capacity has been raised to 90, and ammo weight has been reduced;

5) Suppressors have been improved so that they last between 100-250 shots;

6) No move-in requirements (you still have to wait for the mission with Jacob though), and storage capacities have been increased at all bases;

7) Every base has 2 additional outposts, so the Church and Alamo now have 6, the Savini, Kirkman, and McReady Farmhouse have 8, and Snyders Trucking Warehouse and the Fairgrounds have 10 outposts. NOTE: the menu screen only shows a max of 8 outposts, but you can still create 2 others;

8) Followers only cost 10 influence;

9) Radio options have been reduced in cost and how long to wait to reuse them. Medical advice, construction advice, and Lily's words of encouragement are now always available (once you reach the church);

10) Some vehicles hold more storage space: trucks have 10 spots, SUVs have 8; 

11) The fatecard "Wall Repairs" has been changed to GIVE YOU 10 construction materials instead of take 10 construction materials (as long as you have at least 10 construction materials);

12) The construction materials requirements for all facilities have been reduced. Most are now 5/15/25 (initial facility and any additional upgrades), as well as reduced in influence cost. Beyond that, there's additional changes to most facilities:

A) Radio Room: It's cheaper & quicker to use the radio to look for survivors and resources. You'll know in 5 minutes whether you found more survivors, and 1 minute if Lily found more resources;

B) Sleeping facility: bunk beds have been increased from 8 beds to 24 beds;

C) Medical facility: You no longer need the library to upgrade to a medical lab (but you need it to research the stimulants--after that you can take it down.) The option for mild stimulants has been replaced with a new option: Hold a Medical Seminar. Train other survivors necessary medical skills for 5 ammo, 5 medicine and 15 construction. Training lasts 30 minutes.  Option for making painkillers or strong stimulants has been reduced in how long it takes to make, and gives you more;


D) Kitchen: Make 15 snacks instead of 3. Time to make a meal reduced to 5 minutes;

E) Fitness: Training enclaves gives 5 ammo in 30 minutes now. Combat training will give you an even bigger XP bonus to fighting when its set;

F) Workshop: When you make suppressors, mines, molotovs, bombs, etc., you now make 5 in 5 minutes.  When you make ammo, you make 250 of the ammunition;

G) Library: Research will be quicker, especially if you have a specialist. Commerce option for 5 ammo, which takes 30 minutes. The wits boost you receive has been increased, so you'll increase in wits even faster with a library built;

H) Shooting Platform: Training survivors now gives you 5 ammo and is completed in 30 minutes. Shooting XP bonus is even bigger when firearms training is activated.

13) The glitch that would prevent Gurubani from improving her mood has been fixed. 

14) The "HISTORY: RAN AWAY" mood that a character would temporarily or permanently have after running away has been replaced with a trusting mood. (It doesn't change how runaways work, just changes the text so you don't have to see that annoying HISTORY: RAN AWAY" mood.

Compatibility:

-This was made for the main story/campaign game for State of Decay YOSE.

-This mod changes the following files: characters, facilities, items, vehicles, radiooptions, expertise, fatecards, homesize limits, and rtsdata.
 
-Most of the changes will show immediately, however if you want the changes to the characters, you'll need to start a new game.

Installation:

1. Download and extract the folder "YOSE Badass Story Mod" onto the desktop.

2. Open the folder "YOSE Badass Story Mod". It'll show a folder named "Game". This is the file you'll eventually drag and drop a copy of into the YOSE 
State of Decay folder.

3. Locate your YOSE State of Decay folder. For me, it was found by opening up Program Files (x86), then Steam, then SteamApps, and then common. When you open up the common folder, it'll show you all your Steam games, including a folder named "State of Decay YOSE".

4. Drop a copy of my "Game" folder into the "State of Decay YOSE" folder you have open in the common folder. It'll ask whether you want to merge my game folder with State of Decay YOSE's game folder--click yes. Then, depending on whether you already have mods or not, it'll ask if you want to replace certain files--say yes. If it asks if you want to copy and replace a file, say yes.

5. Most of the changes will show immediately, however if you want the characters changes, you'll need to start a new game.

To Uninstall:

To uninstall, you'll need to navigate to Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/State of Decay YOSE/games/libs/class3/ and then delete:vehicles.win.bmd and radiooptions.win.bmd from the "contentmanager" folder, the "items" folder, and characters.win.bmd, expertise.win.bmd, facilities.win.bmd, fatecards.win.bmd from the "RTS" folder.
