Ohhh, this one is a real gem. A genuine, original, plant-eaten, jury-rigged floran ship! What? What do you mean it is actually an Apex exploration vessel? Nonsense! Quality floran engineering at its best!
It was built with a bio-mimac... bio-mitem... bio-mimot... errr... whatever: its like it's alive, but it ain't. You wouldn't want a fully organic ship, buddy. Nobody wants a ship that needs to be potty trained! This marvel of nanotechnology comes with all the advantages of an organic ship, and none of the disadvantages!
Now, let's talk price. This one comes with a multitude of extras. Have I told you about the porthole defoggers?
THIS MOD
I didn't like the vanilla floran ship, since those vines looked like they wouldn't be able to survive in deep space ;) Not sci-fi enough for my tastes, I suppose! So I created this version, which looks a bit more savage and Floran-y.
The first ship replaces the default floran ship, providing the same building space for balancing reasons (at least until new bigger ship models are released by Chucklefish).
There are also three alternate models: the first one is for those who disliked the exterior cage and some bits of floran furniture being used as part of the ship itself. The second one is a dropship variant, smaller in size but with the same interior space. The third one is a dreadnought variant, adapted from marac008's dreadnoughts, with a LOT of available space.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Extract the entire contents of the .zip file to Starbound/mods
1b. If you prefer one of the alternate models, navigate to Starbound/mods/stansfloranships/ships/, delete (or rename) the "floran" folder and rename one of the "floran ship, no furniture" , "floran dropship" or "floran dreadnought" folders to "floran".
2. Start a new character, or, delete an existing character's .shipworld file (note: you will lose everything on your existing ship, so plan accordingly)
3. Done!
ON PERMISSIONS
I firmly believe modding should be completely open, so use the assets in this mod as you see fit. Give me credit if you use my assets as just a basic form of courtesy, but beyond that, let your imagination and creativity fly!
