1-31-2024 Heya, lemme see if I can help a few people out with some suggestions. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mod eventually stops working There is an engine bug in Skyrim that eventually causes spells/magic effects to stop updating conditions. There is a mod that fixes this called Bug Fixes SSE by meh321.
The customize killmove feature uses a spell/magic effect that activates when the player triggers a killmove, a script is fired at the end of the killmove using the OnEffectFinish() event that then chooses the next killmove.
If you're experiencing the same killmove over and over again, or this mod or some other mod has just stopped working over time, it's possible meh321's mod may fix your issues. If it doesn't, I don't have any other ideas.
Nothing works and customize killmoves is grayed out VioLens mirrors Skyrim's vanilla killmove state when you first install it, to customize killmoves you have to set killmoves to On:Customized. After that, you have to actually customize the killmoves for each weapon yourself or load one of the presets that comes with VioLens.
JContainers This is just a utility to allow loading and saving text files for the MCM, it doesn't interact with killmoves in any way. It is only needed if you are using the profile system to load and save settings.
Decapitations cause crashing This is a bug caused by overlays, it will happen with or without VioLens installed. Next-Gen Decapitations fixes this.
Werewolf killmoves freezing at the start I think at some point these killmoves actually worked properly, maybe before patch 1.5 in 2012? Either way, another vanilla bug. There's a mod called Precision Creatures that fixes the freezing. It can be installed and used without needing to use Precision. Requires patching with Nemesis.
Modern Combat Overhauls I don't use any of these newer 3rd person combat mods, but if you are using them, I'm sure they either have some patch to make them work with VioLens, or will let you know if they aren't compatible. Since VioLens was made well before any of them existed, I can't help you with how it may or may not interact with these kinds of mods. Check their descriptions and comment sections to see if there are patches you need.
New Hotness When VioLens first released, my predecessor, DaedalusAI, the author of The Dance of Death, was nice enough to mention it as an alternative. As such, after about 10 years, if you wanna check out a new killmove mod, see if Kaputt - Melee Killmove Manager suits you better. I haven't tried it myself, but it seems promising, and is using an SKSE DLL plugin. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All right, that's all I've got. I'll check back in around 2030 when TESVI releases and they've stripped all of the killmoves out of that too.

even with 100% chance and last enemy disabled I rarelly get a kill move. Okay, after fast travelling back and forward it seems like the mod is working perfectly well, you just have to go in and out of a location in order for it to trigger, I guess? At the very least after the first install.
As for the mod? It's freaking amazing; I'm using it in conjunction with enhanced blood effects and maximum carnage and I'm just getting tons of gore everywhere, the blood and gore effects highlight how satisfying the kill moves are in this game even further and thanks to this mod, I can increase those animations to happen in the middle of a fight for most (if not all) enemies.
So thank you, installation was really easy to using Vortex, so thanks to the people keeping that application running as well.
Playing on Legendary used to be nearly impossible with the constant "enemy gets double or triple damage in their autokill" nonsense before this baby let me turn that crap off. Now I'm the only one who instakills, jerks!!
I have my melee stealth kill chance to 100%, last enemy off, i'm not in combat and right behind an enemy, i'm unseen, still won't trigger killmove. anyone know why? I'm not using any other killmove mod.
I'm having the exact same issue, happens with melee killmoves as well. Sometimes it triggers, sometimes it won't.
EDIT: So after travelling back and forward between areas, the mod is working as intended now. Try to fast travel back and forward after the first mod install and see if it works for you.
Hi! Maybe I'm some kind of noob, but for real I can't make this to work on third person without the camera effect. I mean, I want the killmoves on enemies to play, but not to have the camera forced position. I use smoothcam, don't know if that mod conflicts. Thanks in advance!

As for the mod?
