About this mod

Makes balance changes to the crafting skills, spells, enchantments, equipment, shrines and standing stones.

Permissions and credits
This is basically meant to be a balance patch for the base game. Other mods may ruin balance.
Version 1.3.1: Made a bug fix to match the unofficial patch, one unique armor buffed

Compatibility

Should work with mostly any other mod. The changes pair pretty well with Ordinator. If you have another mod that changes some of the same stuff just put it after this one if you prefer their changes, shouldn't screw up anything. Things that could use balancing that this mod doesn't cover includes perks, shouts, food and racial abilities. Also I barely touched spells.


Bigger changes
Alchemy, smithing and enchanting fortify effects don't stack, including seeker effects from the black book. Health, stamina and magicka regen at the same rate in and out of combat, at a slightly slower rate than normal. Werewolves have a 10% weakness to magic while not transformed, just so they have any downside.

Why is stacking effects so bad you may wonder? The way it normally works is that you can stack any amounts that aren't the same, so 15% and 20% but not two 15%s. With the use of alchemy especially (but even without it) you can reach total amounts in the hundreds, which is a bit crazy.


Magic/Enchanting
Destruction spells of the same tier now cost the same amount of magicka, unlike before where fire was cheapest and shock was most expensive. Several enchantments have slight changes to power and charges. It is no longer possible to learn the magicka rate + magicka cost reduction enchantments, this is so you can't get 0 cost spells. To add to this, you can no longer enchant necklaces with magicka cost reduction. Also Amulet of Mara's effect was changed to health regen. You can only get 0 cost spells with the help of a shrine of Mara or with Necromancer's Amulet.


Alchemy/Potions
Ultimate restorative potions heal 500 instead of 9999, and weigh 0.75 which will show in-game as 0.8. Smithing potions are weaker, a few other potions were rebalanced as well such as stamina regen. Potions that buff health/stamina/magicka last 2 mins instead of 1. White phial effects improved.


Miscellaneous
Equipment (mainly just uniques) have been rebalanced, as in mostly buffed. Nothing too major though. Standing stone effects have been balanced. Shrine effects all last 12 hours and some got slight adjustments. Power attacks, bashes, silent rolls all require a certain minimum amount of stamina rather than just greater than zero. There is no longer a hidden armor rating from having armor equipped. Horse stealing is now worth a 500 bounty instead of 50, assault is 60 instead of 40. Horses run a bit faster and have more stamina. Also there's a few very minor bug fixes that the unofficial patch doesn't cover.
