About this mod

Patches for the seven Ashara armor mods by SydneyB to add the VIS sorting tags to the item display names.

Permissions and credits
Valdacil's Item Sorting mod adds custom tags to all inventory items which make finding items easier and allow more efficient use of inventory. The base mod install file updates all Vanilla and DLC items, and includes a number of patches to make other mods compatible. Most included patches were made by Valdacil. There are also user-made patches which update item names from other mods and allow them to work seamlessly with VIS.

This page contains VIS patches for the following seven mods by SydneyB (Ashara):

The patches do not contain any of the meshes or textures necessary for the mods to function. They only contain an additional plug-in which adds the VIS tags to the display names of the 400+ items included in these 7 mods. In order for a patch to work, you must already have the matching mod installed.

There is a individual patch per mod and for those like me who use all 7 mods, there is also an All-in-One Patch. Please do not try to install the all-in-one patch unless you have already installed all seven mods linked above. If the patch is missing even one required master file, your game will likely crash.

If do you have all 7 mods and then install the all-in-one, you do not need to install any of the individual patches as they are all included.

You are welcome (and if you use many mods, encouraged) to merge all VIS patches you need to reduce the number of plug-ins for your game.

There are several alternate textures available on Ashara's original mod pages. You can still use my VIS patches with the alternate textures as long as they only replace textures, but do not overwrite the .esp (mod) file.

Mods which replace NPCs clothes (such as the Imperial Outfit replacer for Jarl Elisif) do not require a patch as they are not adding new items to the player's inventory.

Planned Updates:

I will be reviewing the add-ons for the Ashara mods to determine if they need patches. This includes the Cyrodiil Men's Fashion Alternate Textures for the Romantic Outfit by Jacknifelee (as it has a different .esp file) and the Party Outfit replacer for the Imperial Outfit. The other optional files are just texture replacers (no .esp) or the Elisif Imperial Replacer. If there are any new patches required, I will create and post them with an update to this description page (probably this weekend).

Based on discussions on Valdacil's mod page, I will also be making updated versions of the existing patches to adjust for some changes to how the naming tags are displayed. Hopefully, those will be also be up this weekend (Dec 10-11).

Permissions:

I have permission from both Valdacil and SydneyB to post these patches.

My work only includes creating the patch file. All original mod work done by Valdacil and SydneyB belong to them and I do not have the rights to grant any permission to others for use of their assets. If you wish to use something from their mods, you will need to contact them directly and gain their permission.

Credits:

This patch would not be possible without the outstanding work of the original mod authors, Valdacil and SydneyB. If you enjoy their mods, please be sure to endorse them on the original mod pages.
