About this mod

Converts vanilla destruction to concentration spells. One handed master spells. Stronger wards that repel hostile NPCs. Telekinesis on both objects and NPCs. Skin-only flesh spell textures. Crouching outdoors with an active Whirlwind cloak enables "super-jump" with no fall damage.

Features:
  • originally intended to convert vanilla destruction spells to concentration, this mod also alters a few other vanilla spells as well
  • casting vanilla fire and forget spells feels too much like a bow and arrow with magic... magic should pour forth when you unleash it and if you waste magicka by missing your target its your own fault

Non-features (things I am trying to get working or yet to add):
  • wards deflect or slow arrows
  • altered hit sounds for flesh spells
  • flesh spells fortify unarmed damage

Update (1.5-->1.6)
  • added the blue sparkle hit effects from flesh spells to wards
  • tweaked fire storm imagespace modifier effects
  • fixed whirlwind cloak super jump (should not work inside interior cells)
  • fixed damage problems with ice spike and icy spear (removed no duration flag on magic effects which was preventing damage being calculated properly)
  • fixed fireball knockdown happening 100% of the time, it should be pretty rare now, if at all
  • bit the bullet and decided to fully convert remaining concentration spells (fireball, ice storm, ignite and freeze) over to concentration as well

Changes to spells:
  • Continuous fire destruction spells: firebolt, fireball, incinerate, fire storm, ice spike, icy spear, ice storm, blizzard, chain lightning, lightning bolt, thunderbolt, lightning storm, spectral arrow, ignite and freeze.
  • Destruction projectiles now have gravity and fireball explosions may knock down npcs (this seems to be pretty rare now).
  • One handed master destruction spells.
  • Telekinesis on objects and npcs (excluding mammoths, giants, dragons and ghosts)
  • Wards are stronger and have a repulsive effect on attacking/hostile NPCs at close range (excluding mammoths, giants, dragons and ghosts, also not very effective against flying creatures).
  • Flesh spell effect shaders only affect skin and look like oak/stone/etc.  Removed blue hit effects.
  • Spectral arrow now uses bound arrow projectiles, also silent
  • Whirlwind cloak protects you from fall damage while active.  Also crouching (sneaking) enables a vertical "super-jump" when outdoors (like the randomly encountered wizard on Solstheim?)

I have neither youth or time.  As a scientist and father to a toddler, I only get to play/mod occasionally to relieve the stresses of academia and students.  Sharing this hoping that you enjoy this mod and your feedback is welcome, but please understand I'm not likely to be very responsive.
