Adds enchanting, alchemy, cooking and shared storage to all the Inns in Skyrim and Solstheim. New in Version 1.1: Added a sorting menu to  auto-store/auto-retrieve common crafting items (alchemy, cooking, smithing) with an option for adding new items to the sorting lists. There are also summon-able linked storage chests so you can place a chest near your favorite forges or in your home. You summon the chest via scrolls.

Features
  • Added Alchemy, Enchanting and Cooking stations to all Inns
  • Added a linked-storage chest to each Inn allowing shared storage
  • Added a summon-able chest so you can place a linked-storage anywhere
  • Added an optional auto-sorting function to the chests to store and retrieve crafting items automatically
  • Added a system to included additional items to the sorting system

Details

The storage and crafting stations are placed in out of the way areas so as to not interfere with navmeshes. Inns that already had some stations simply had the missing ones added. For instance The Sleeping Giant Inn has an alchemy station already so only the enchanting station and cooking station were added.

An Inn is a place where you can rent a bed. The taverns where you can make purchases but not rent a room are not considered Inns. For instance the Drunken Huntsman is not an Inn so it was not altered.

The stations are created from in-game assets rather than using the large common work stations. The smaller meshes allows me to make them more compact to fit into the environment with minimal impact on NPC traffic flow and maximum compatibility. Click the base part of the station to use. The decorations on the top are not part of the activator.

I normally play without Fast Travel so having a central player home is not practical for me. I find I prefer living out of the various Inns as I travel for my quests. However few of them have any crafting stations and some don't even have cooking stations. This mod remedies that. Now I can stay at an Inn and have access to my alchemy, cooking and enchanting ingredients and the stations to use them.

No vanilla records were altered. Some clutter was relocated or moved out of sight to clear up space.

Version 1.1 Notes

Auto-Store: You can now sort standard vanilla Alchemy, Cooking and Smithing items into and out of the chest automatically. When clicking the chest you are given a menu (Open, Auto-Store, Get Alchemy, Get Cooking, Get Smithing). You can just open the chest if you don't want to use auto-sorting or use the auto-store/auto-retrieve to manage items.

Custom Auto-Store: The Convenient Inns system is a service provided by Nelacar (the mage in Winterhold's The Frozen Hearth). He created the system as a means of income while he pursues is studies. In his room there is a trap door that leads to his basement. In there you will find a book of instructions for how to use the sorting system. In a nutshell, you can use chests in his basement to add new items to the sorting lists. These items normally will be from mod-added crafting materials. So if you want to categorize Fur-Plates from Frostfall/Campfire as smithing, just add one to the smithing chest and it will become part of the smithing list for sorting. Full instructions in the in-game book (in the cellar).

Aetherius Chest Scrolls: You can use scrolls to summon a chest to any location and have access to your stored items. The chest will remain at the location or you can crouch and activate the chest to remove it. It's good for adding access to storage near your favorite forge or your home. The scrolls are in the scroll levellists for vendors. Any vendor that normally sells scrolls has a chance to sell an Aetherius Chest Scroll. Note that if you decide to remove a chest you DO NOT get the scroll back. You will need to purchase another scroll so be careful where you place the chest. It will appear just in front of you with the latch facing you. Don't stand too close to a wall.  I suggest you save before placing so you can correct mistakes.

No time for vendors? Open the console and type help "Scroll of Aetherius Chest" to get the formid and if you don't know what to do with the formID Google is your friend.

Compatibility
Should not interfere with any other mod unless it alters the same space. Tavern/Inn overhauls may not work with it. If you use a Tavern/Inn overhaul then ask the author to include basic crafting in the overhaul rather than trying to get patches made. It makes more sense to have a complete overhaul than mix two mods in the same space.

Load Order
Put it high in your load order above any lighting mods. That way the modded lighting of the Inns won't be affected by this mod.

Install
Use a mod manger. If you don't use a mod manager by now you don't need me to tell you how to install an esp. If you do need me to tell you how to install and esp may the Divines help you because I won't. Use a mod manager.

Uninstall
Get your stuff out of my chest. Go to a place that is NOT an Inn. Save your game and exit. Remove or deactivate the mod in your mod manager. Open the game and create a new save and move on.
