Visible Favorited Gear mod is an old mod which has very basic functionality. Use All Geared Up Derivative SE - AllGUD instead if you want a more modern mod that will make all your gear visible (staves, left handed weapons, etc.).
You can find this fantastic mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28833

Visible Favorited Gear

This simple and small mod adds an ability to make your favorited weapons visible. Tired of sword appearing out of nowhere after switching from bow, and bow disappearing into oblivion? Me too... That's why this mod exists.

Installation:
1. Extract archive into Skyrim Special Edition Data folder, enable mod.
2. Use configuration spell from powers menu to turn visible gear on.
3. After you add/remove weapons to/from favorites menu, switch between some weapons once to make gear visible.
4*. Every time you will add something new/remove from favorites menu, gear will become invisible until you switch weapons.

Requirements:
1. Skyrim Special Edition

Known issues:
1. Bows can't be used while crossbows are favorited and vise versa. Otherwise clipping will occur and wrong models will be used in animations.
2. If you switch weapons/spells rapidly too fast (beyond the way you would while playing the game normally), gear might glitch out.

Compatibility:
1. Compatible with any mods that add custom weapons/armors/etc, since VFG doesn't use any slots anymore.

Please note:
1. This mod does not add any meshes so it doesn't affect staffs (they will be invisible while sheathed) nor dual wielding (left hand weapons will still be invisible while sheathed). Use All Geared Up Derivative SE - AllGUD instead.

DragonDude1029 Without his mod for Original Skyrim "Equipping Overhaul" it would take me much longer to figure out the workaround for the geared up function.
People from Nexus forums Without them I would be stuck with creation kit dot com website... Because I am a noob ;)
