About this mod

This mod changes the Winterhold landscape, adding an arch and partially restoring the town. The bridge to the Academy is no longer suspended in the air, witch defies any physics laws.
The town is not restored but expanded.

It's been a long time I wanted to do this mod. The collapse of most of winterhold town in the sea leaving this unrealistic suspended broken bridge worried me since ages.

Now it's over. Winterhold, still destroyed, stands on an arch, similar to Solitude. Since the Academy and its spire could be seen from far away, a LOD rebuild was necessary. This has been done.

The bridge to the academy is fully restored, the meshes have been completely redone. An alternative access to the Midden is provided with an interesting point of view on the exit gate.

The new ground is fully navmeshed and guard patrols have been expanded, as well as the amount of guards from 2 to 4 due to the length of their new path.

I did my best to integrate the mod into the general Skyrim design, I think the result is satisfying so far. Since everything is basically built on new ground, I don't see any compatibility issue
however, mods modifying Winterhold may be affected. Let me know if you find something wrong, I'll do my best to correct it.

If any modder wants to use this for a fully fledged rebuild, feel free to do it but please contact me first.

I'm interested about what the community think about this mod, so your comments and appreciations are very welcome.

Installation:

Extract the content of the archive in your data folder. Enable the mod with your favorite mod manager. The only dependancy is skyrim.esm so the load order doesn't matter.

Rev1.0.1: The texture atlas for the lod meshes was missing, my bad. The revision includes it now and for those who already downloaded the first version, I made a separate optional file with the RealisticWinterhold - Textures.bsa only in the download section. Sorry guys.
