Description

Sorry for my English, I hope you'll understand what I wrote here :)

This is 2 in 1 mod: a constructible, underground dwemer themed player's
home, and a custom-voiced dwemer cyborg follower.  You can use one or
both of the mod's parts.
Total summary:
4 unique-looking, upgradable workbenches, 64 weapon racks, 24 shield racks and 14
mannequins, custom displays for many unique items, including daedric
artifacts, dragon claws, dragon priest masks, paragons, bug jars etc.,
oven and greenhouse. Most of this things you need to build from raw
materials, using crafting system similar to Hearthfire's.  You also got a
portable teleportation device - Amulet of Homes, and a dwemer cyborg
follower, with her own upgradable armor and sword.  Oh, and I almost
forgot - there is a custom music, 10 atmospheric ambient tracks that
plays when you are in the Lab.

Detail

1. The Key for Lab

The lab requires a key to enter. You can get the key from some unlucky Khajiit if you follow the road from Whiterun to Markarth. You
can't miss him. Search his cart and find out why he was looking for the
forgotten lab.

2. The Lab

Forgotten Lab is located near the main road from Whiterun to Markarth, to the
west of the Sunderstone Gorge, to the south-west of the Fort Sungard
(see the map picture).
Laboratory consists of several areas, here's a brief information on each area:

The Forge Area

You start with the basic crafting devices - a forge, a grinder, a
workbench, a tanning rack and a smelter. There is also an alchemy lab
and an enchanting unit, but you need to fix them before you can use
them. After that, you can upgrade them.  Four upgrade available for the
four basic workstations:

Upgrade Grinder
- you can upgrade weapons 20% more
Upgrade Workbench - you can upgrade armors 20% more
Upgrade Alchemy Lab - potions you craft 20% more powerful
Upgrade Enchanting Unit - new enchantments 20% more powerful

These upgrades are compatible with Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim upgrade system, you can use both simultaneously. I have a small patch to make the visual effects more compatible.

IMPORTANT NOTE: after you build an upgrade, you need to turn it on (press the button or turn the valve) to receive the actual bonus.

The Treasure Room Area

There are two types of displays here - interactive and semi-interactive. The
first ones is the weapon racks and shield racks. You can place an items
on them and you can take it back. All other displays are
semi-interactive - you can take an items from them, but you can't place
them directly. Instead, you need to place an items into the "Treasures"
chest, and they will appears on the displays. A full list of items that
can be displayed this way is in the Readme file.
To build the "Treasures" chest, first you need to build three stands - Daedric
Artifacts stand, and two Rarities and Oddities stands. You'll need a red
paint for them, you can make it in the cooking pot.

IMPORTANT NOTE: weapon racks or shield racks may be inaccessible right after you build
them, and the mannequins may be alive. To fix this, you need to leave
the Lab and reenter.

The Kitchen Area

To use the greenhouse, you need to fix the water pump first. (Tip: you can find all necessary materials in the Lab)

About "Building Materials" chests: this chests works like a cloud storage. If you place something in one,
you can take this from all other. This makes construction easier, since
all the necessary materials are always at hand.

Amulet of Homes

This device allows you to teleport to places that you can call home. This is your houses, estates and guilds.
In order to be able to teleport to your house, you need to have a key from
this house (with the exception of Severin Manor - you need to finish a
certain quest and become the owner of the building)
To teleport to your estate, you need to purchase this land first.
To teleport to the guild houses you need to be truly accepted to this guild.
Amulet works when you equip it. It doesn't take any slot, and it is not shown
on your character. Amulet does not work during a fight.

IMPORTANT NOTE: use this amulet with caution!  Do not teleport from the places
that are not allowed to leave freely. Do not use amulet when you in the
middle of the important quest, or you can break this quest. I added some
safety checks, but still - better safe than sorry.

3. Majka

Majka Ragzamth is the dwemer cyborg, willing to help you in your adventures.
She is essential and her maximum level is 100. She also have a 25% magic
resistance and 100% poison resistance.
Majka specialize in two-handed weapons, archery, block and heavy armor.
To recruit her, you need to resurrect her first. Read her father's journal, and follow the instructions.

"Call Majka" shout

You will learn this shout during initial dialogue with Majka. You can use
it right away, you don't need to spend the dragon soul to unlock it.
This shout will summon Majka in front of you, so be careful where you
aim. You can summon Majka when she follows you, waits for you or even
dismissed.

Majka's Armor

Majka's default outfit is equal to the steel armor. You can craft at the forge
dwemer variant of her armor set, and then upgrade it to orcish, ebony
and daedric successively. You can also give her any other armor (CBBE,
vanilla, some UNP and probably other will work), but she will look less
"robotic" then.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Majka's mechanical walking sound is tied to her boots. If you give her
boots other than Majka's Boots or its variant, this sound will not be
heard. So if you like it, stick to the Majka's Boots. Enchant it,
upgrade it, etc. If you don't like the sound, just give her any other
boots.

Icicle sword

The Icicle sword is the default weapon of Majka. You can't enchant this
sword, but you can temper it at grinder and upgrade it at the forge.
Here's the progression chart:

Icicle  -- damage 18 (equal to Orcish Greatsword), +5 frost damage
Improved Icicle  -- damage 20 (equal to Elven Greatsword), +15 frost damage (require Orcish Smithing perk)
Grand Icicle  -- damage 22 (equal to Ebony Greatsword), +25 frost damage (require Ebony Smithing perk)
Inferno Icicle  -- damage 25 (equal to Dragonbone Greatsword), +25 frost damage, + 25 fire damage (require Dragon Armor perk)
Apocalypse Icicle  -- damage 27, +25 frost damage, + 25 fire damage, +25 shock damage (require Dragon Armor perk and player level 50+)

Manual Installation

Download and install General Stores SE mod.
Download and install General Displays SE mod.
Unpack 7-zip archive of this mod and copy all files and folders from Data
directory into your Skyrim\Data directory. Overwrite when asked.
Don't forget to enable all this mods in a launcher.

UPDATING TO v1.1.0

There are two ways to install the update.

1. You can just overwrite all the files, and hope that everything turned
out well. Before that, save the game somewhere outside the lab, and back
up your savegame.
If you still have not discover the lab, everything will be OK.
Note that you will need the key to enter the lab through the door.

However, if you have already found and entered the lab, errors and bugs are
possible. In particular, a greenhouse and a treasure chest may not work.
If so, try the second method.

2. Clean installation.
Take all the things you need from the lab (use god mode - tgm in console - to
avoid overencumbrance). It's important - you lose everything that's
left.
Take all the things you need from Majka (except her armor and the Icicle sword).
Dismiss Majka.
Save the game somewhere outside the lab (somewhere near Whiterun), and back up your savegame.
Uninstall both Forgotten Lab AND required mods - General Stores and General Displays. Just delete them.
Load your game, wait several minutes, and make a another save. Quit the game.
Clean your last savegame with
Save game script cleaner
Install Forgotten Lab and required mods. (Don't forget to enable them.)
Now run the game and follow the road from Whiterun to Markarth to find the key to the Lab.

Note: If you have already made some upgrade to the Lab, you will lose it.
To save your efforts and resources, I added a secret chest to the lab.
Enter the kitchen through the door, and follow straight west through the
wall (use the console command tcl). There you will find a chest containing most of the necessary materials for upgrades.
As for the logs, type in the console player.additem 300300e 200. This will give you 200 sawn logs.

Manual Uninstallation

Delete this files and folders:

Data\ForgottenLab.esp
Data\ForgottenLab.bsa
Data\ForgottenLab - Textures.bsa
Data\Sound\FX\ForgottenLab
Launch your game, wait a minute and make a save. Clean this save with the
Save game script cleaner

Known Issues and Bugs

1. You may experience CTD when entering or teleporting to the fully upgraded lab. To avoid this, I highly recommend using ENBoost

2. If you have a problem with bookshelves, download and install this mod -
Bookshelf Fix
To test if your bookshelf works correctly, place the largest possible
number of books on the shelf, then take one via E (take) key. Open the
shelf again. If the message says that you can place only 1 more book on
the shelf, everything OK. If it says that you can place 2 or more books,
then this bookshelf is bugged. This is actually a vanilla script bug,
it has nothing to do with my mod.

3. Sometimes when you turn a workbench upgrade off and on, the visual effects fail to render. This
can be fixed by leaving and reentering the lab, but to avoid this bug I
suggest never turn off an upgrades after you install them. There is no
real need to.

4. "Building Materials" chests don't play the animation when activated. This is normal.
