About this mod

Skyrim Overhauled Furniture Assembly, or simply SOFA, is a complete replacement of Skyrim's vanilla furniture, with completely new meshes and textures.

Permissions and credits
SOFA replaces all of the vanilla game's Farm, Commoner, Upperclass, Noble, Bar and Counter sets, the Wooden Chair and Barstool (the last two not belonging to any set), and now the Dunmer furniture from Solstheim! I have plans to create Telvanni specific furniture, like what you see in the Morrowind DLC for Elder Scrolls Online, and will soon commence work on that.

Most recent updates: I have now added an updated version of SOFA that has an installer with many different furniture pieces for you to choose from! I also changed the color of the painted furniture from the original, pale yellow to a deep purple, so that it isn't as blinding to look at. Pictures in the installer show the new color :)

Future plans: I am planning on making several additions, in this order: First, I am going to try contacting other modders to find out how to do animation. Second, I am going to add replacements for decorations, including all of those shitty looking wall baskets you see everywhere, as well as replacing the rugs they use everywhere else in game. Next, I am going to create a set of new colors for various pieces of furniture (such as new paint colors for Upperclass stuff, and different materials to replace the Moonstone material, etc.). Next, I am going to make new Redoran/Telvanni specific furniture (most of which will be based on what you see in Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind). And lastly, I am going to make new Upperclass furniture (the current stuff will remain if you like them, the new stuff will be added as an update). Lastly, I am planning on adding various "Skykea" stores around Skyrim, where you can go in and peruse some furniture, and maybe even buy some for your lovely homes!

Please message me if you fins anything wrong with the furniture in-game! Messed up collisions, weird placements of object, etc. I am doing all this by myself and there is no possible way I could make sure all of my furniture is working properly in game.

As an FYI: None of the containers in this mod are animated. I have no idea how to do so, but once I do I will certainly animate them. As a result, the noble wardrobe that is used as a secret entrance in some locations still uses the vanilla model.

I HIGHLY recommend using a mod that disables Bloom, such as "Dynamically Disable Eye Adaptation and Bloom", by jstabb: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2135
A couple of the materials, such as a the Painted Wood and Moonstone, are very light colored and, while the Painted Wood is not very reflective, both are easily blown out in situations where there is a lot of bloom.
As another recommendation, I personally prefer classic fantasy games that are very bright and vibrant (in appearance, at least), like the Blood and Wine DLC in "The Witcher 3", so the Clean version was designed with that goal in mind. To complement that version, I recommend using a mod like Surreal Lighting (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2770), or other world-saturating mods. If you're using the Dirty version, then don't worry about it because I desaturated the colors and added dirt and various damages to make them fit better with Skyrim's original design.

FILES INCLUDED
SOFA.esp
SOFA.bsa
SOFA - Textures.bsa

REQUIREMENTS
All three DLC's. Just make sure you have both the Assets AND the Plugin installed. If you only have the plugin installed, then you'll just see a bunch of empty rooms with clutter strewn all over the floor as if someone just dropped whatever they couldn't carry right there on the floor.

INSTALLATIONS
For Original SOFA Release:
Take the "Meshes" and "Textures" folders and put them into Skyrim SE's Data folder. Then, open /fomod/01 plugins and move the plugins you want directly into the Data folder. Then, enable the plugin(s) in-game, or with whatever program you prefer to use.
For Dunmer SOFA Release:
Take "SOFA_Dunmer" and place it into Slyrim's "Meshes" Folder within the Skyrim Directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Meshes by default).Next, move "SOFA-Dunmer" folder into the Textures folder within the Skyrim Data folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Textures by default). When activating the plugins (the .esp's), pick and choose whichever ones you want, OR pick the SOFA-DunmerAll.esp if you want all of the furniture. Then, enable the plugin either in a mod installer of your choice, or in the in-game mods section.

UNINSTALLATION
Delete or remove the plugin file(s) from your DATA folder. You can remove the Asset files as well, but without the plugin they won't appear in-game, so it isn't absolutely necessary.

PERMISSIONS
Feel free to use my assets, just please give me credit :)
