Skyrim Special Edition

Not all mods listed here are available for all platforms. MCM (Mod Configuration Menu) requires SkyUI. Before using a compatibility patch, make sure it supports the latest version of both mods to avoid issues.

Known compatibility list

Releases:

  • Skyrim VR: The VR Perk Extender is required to prevent a crash when zooming into a perk tree with more than 18 perks.

Creations:
  • Survival Mode: Compatible. Note that Survival Mode does not include feeding as a way to sate your hunger.

Mods:
  • Advanced Follower Tweaks (AFT): Compatible. If you have the Mytherceria ability, AFT may display an error message that your timescale is too high and this could cause instability. Timescales that diverge significantly from vanilla can indeed cause instability, but the values used by Mytherceria are well within the safe envelope. AFT simply generates this error if your timescale is different from vanilla by any amount. Unless you have other mods that significantly change the rate at which time progresses, you can ignore this error.
  • Alternate Start - Live Another Life (ASLAL): Mostly compatible. There are reports that starting as a vampire in ASLAL seems to make you a vanilla vampire instead of a Sacrosanct vampire, so you may want to avoid starting as a vampire (and give yourself the Potion of Embracing using the console to turn yourself into a Sacrosanct vampire instantly).
  • Andromeda - Unique Standing Stones of Skyrim: Compatible.
  • ASIS: Compatible. Add SCS_ to the [PerkExclusionsStartsWith] list in the ASIS Automatic Perks INI and the [SpellExclusionsStartsWith] list in the ASIS Automatic Spells INI.
  • Belua Sanguinare: Incompatible. Both mods modify the same content. Use one or the other.
  • Better Vampires: Incompatible. Both mods modify the same content. A compatibility patch is available on the Better Vampires page (classic/SSE).
Notice: Instead of merging the features from both mods, the compatibility patch is designed to prioritise Better Vampires. It removes most mortal form features from Sacrosanct (all innate and racial abilities, draining, blood magic progression, blue blood quest, Sacrosanct thirst stages, vampire rank progression, several powers and spells), disables some perks related to feeding (Psychic Vampire, Foster Childe, Amaranth, White Wolf) and modifies powers and perks in unintended ways to match its own balance approach (Lamae's Pyre). For this reason, I will not provide support for Sacrosanct if the patch is used, and issues in mortal form should be reported to the author of Better Vampires.
When uninstalling Better Vampires: Some versions of Better Vampires come with loose scripts that go into your scripts folder. These will remain in your game after you remove the Better Vampires .esp file, causing an integrity error from Sacrosanct. When this happens, remove the files it mentions from your scripts folder.
  • Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO): Compatible. Load CACO above Sacrosanct and make sure you are using Sacrosanct 5.00 or newer.
  • DVA Dynamic Vampire Appearance: Compatible. Load DVA above Sacrosanct.
  • Enhanced Character Edit: Some assembly required. Enhanced Character Edit comes with an outdated copy of RaceCompatibility that does not support Sacrosanct. Remove it and get RaceCompatibility 2.07 or newer.
  • Imperious - Races of Skyrim: Compatible.
  • iNeed Compatible. Load iNeed above Sacrosanct because it edits vampires.
  • Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim: Compatible.
  • Perkus Maximus (PerMa): Compatible.
Patchus Maximus support: Add Sacrosanct to the PaMa block list to prevent it from distributing unwanted spells and perks.
  • RaceCompatibility: Compatible. Make sure the USKPOverride file from RaceCompatibility loads above Sacrosanct! LOOT may not sort it correctly, putting it below Sacrosanct, which breaks Sacrosanct.
  • Sneak Tools Redone: Compatible. Use the MCM in Sneak Tools Redone to turn off automatic sneak kills or you won't be able to activate NPCs to sneak feed.
  • Skyrim Redone (SkyRe): Compatible. Load SkyRe above Sacrosanct.
  • Vampiric Thirst: Using both mods together is not recommended because they modify the same content in similar ways and will conflict. While you probably could get them to work together, doing so is unsupported.
  • [bVokrii - Minimalistic Perks of Skyrim:[/b] Compatible.
  • Volkihar Knight - Vampire Armor: Compatible starting from Volkihar Knight version 1.0.0 or later. Previous versions modify Weakness to Sunlight, causing a conflict with Sacrosanct abilities such as Jeweled Scales and Daywalker.

Compatibility with other mods

  • Sacrosanct is compatible with mods that modify the vampire races themselves, including vampire eye mods.
  • Sacrosanct's Vampire powers and Hemomancy spells benefit from perks that buff Destruction, Conjuration or Illusion spells, including Ordinator and Vokrii perks. Vampire Lord powers and spells do not, but have their own perk tree.
  • Sacrosanct is compatible with many mods that add new races. Load them below Sacrosanct. Note that not all new race mods support vampire mods. To ensure compatibility, the author of a new race mod must either implement the RaceCompatibility mod or (the recommended approach) create a patch that adds regular and vampire versions to the formlists SCS_Races and SCS_RacesVampire in Sacrosanct. Consult the compatibility list and feedback thread of your race mod for more information.
  • Sacrosanct should not be used alongside another vampire overhaul because both mods modify similar content. They may not directly conflict, but the outcome is unpredictable and probably undesirable.
