Skyrim Special Edition

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Something isn't working! CTD, NPCs won't talk to me, etc.
A: Mod is fully tested and it's working on an unmodded Skyrim without any hiccups. First, understand this:

Skyrim engine tends to just skip some scripts, if there are too many script intensive mods, so this may happen randomly on some heavily modded games. It's an engine problem, nothing can be done with it.

Turn off your ENB, change load order, reload before the issue happened and try to proceed.

If you're sure it's not related to Skyrim engine flaws - Check the Bugs section.
If you didn't find anything related with your problem - only then write a new issue in Bugs section.

Q: I can't click on a dialogue option!
A: It's a typical Skyrim problem. Just reload the save or the game itself.

Q: XBox Version?
A: Right here - https://bethesda.net/en/mods/skyrim/mod-detail/4021687

Q: I have an old 2014 version installed, should I remove it first?
A: If you have an old M'rissi from the 2014 - this is totally different mod now, they would work together, you will have 2 M'rissis >_<
BUT there's one conflict - in the Justiciars Headquarters during the main quest. So I recommend you to remove the old version anyway.

Q: Can I upgrade from version to version without starting it all over?
A: If you're upgrading from version to version of this mod - you can safely install it on top with replacing and continue playing.

Q: I don't want to play the quests, can I skip them?
A: Yes, before you started her story you can skip it all and get a follower.
There are several commands for this, depends on what ending you want to have:
setstage MRTskip STAGE
Where STAGE is:
10 - Marriage, just M'rissi.
11 - Marriage, M'rissi and S'ahara available.
20 - Kinship, just M'rissi.
21 - Kinship, M'rissi and S'ahara available.
30 - Enslavement

Q: How do I start the quests?
A: Go by the road, from Whiterun stables to Western Watchtower.
Encounter Thalmors with a khajiit. Interfere or just see what will happen.

Q: What's the difference between Backpack and Satchel?
A: Satchel is a usual follower inventory. Backpack is just a storage, she won't use anything from there.

Q: I don't know what to do next!
A: Check your journal. Check quest markers. If nothing, then - Sometimes you should just wait a bit. Specifically after "Echo prom the past" and "Feline solidarity", wait more then a day.
Or - check the Walkthrough in the Articles section.

Q: Which endings can I get?
A: Marriage, Kinship, Enslavement - those are true endings.
On the other hand, you can fail sometimes and close the true routes, or just be killed in a scene.

Q: How to get a desired ending?
A: Full description is in the walkthrough.

As for small hints:
- for Marriage and Kinship - only S'ahara knows khajiity rituals, save
her. Also nightmares won't makes a cat happy enough to proceed.
- for Marriage - M'rissi don't like straighforward and overly righteous characters.
- for Kinship - just don't be evil.
- for Enslavement - if you want to survive, don't force her over the line.

Q: I proposed her marriage, and she rejected me!
A: Well... Ouch. She don't love you. It seems you didn't impress her with your actions before.
Next time try to spend time with her, read her books, be more funny. Now all you have left is a Kinship possibility.

Q: I have an ending, what now?
A: If you have one of the good endings - then you'll have a few scenes more. Try to leave her home for awile, and then make sure she and S'ahara are in the same house.
Check the walkthroug last pages to see all endgame content.
If you are evil - well, just enjoy your new pet as you wish.

Q: I want to dress her. How her outfit system is working?
A: After any True ending you can change her outfit via dialogue:
"You'll look even better in other attire."

"Never mind, you're perfect as you are." - leave this dialogue
"I have something for you. Try this." - proceed to manual outfit handling.
Other dialogue options will make her change her outfit. It won't show in her inventory.

Manual outfit handling:
This option will open the special inventory menu.
1. You should give her armor or clothes items, she will remember and wear them together, even if you'll give her better armor later.
To avoid glitching - use this menu to give her only single item of the same type. In example - don't give her a cloth and a cuirass, or two cuirasses, two boots, etc, she won't know what to use.
But if you'll give her a circlet, a dress, gloves and boots at the same time, she will wear them just fine.
Don't give her more then 1 similar item type here.

2. After you gave her everything you want her to wear - close the menu and speak to her one more time.
Choose "That's it, do you like it?" to finish the outfitting or give her something else.

Now she will always wear those items, even if you'll give her better ones. To stop this - just take items away from her satchel.

Q: How do I underess her?
A: Via outfit dialogue. She will agree only after marriage, and only in the player's house.
On the other hand - a slaver can force her.
