Starbound and State of Decay support in the latest NMM update

  • Comment
We've released version 0.49.0 of NMM today which includes support for both Starbound and State of Decay. Both are compliments of modders within the community, KrazyTheFox for Starbound and MrxknownJG for State of Decay. Their help in getting support for these games in to NMM has enabled our dedicated NMM programmers to carry on with other projects in NMM (profiling, mainly) so they have my thanks.

Here's the full change log:
  • New Feature: Added support for State of Decay.
  • New Feature: Added support for Starbound.
  • New Feature: Improved the “The Elder Scrolls Online” game detection.
  • Bugfix: Fixes the installation of ESO addons on the EU version of the game.
  • Bugfix: Some instances of visual category duplication while in category view.
  • Bugfix: Clicking on add new category while in plain view was adding the category to the mod list.

In other news the last beta weekend before the game launches has just begun for The Elder Scrolls Online. If you're stuck for things to do this weekend there's no harm in giving it a go if you haven't already.

ohgeez-1.gifThis is a NEWS topic for announcing 2 new games being supported - NOT a complain about the NMM topic - there is one just for that if you feel the need. It also may even have a few hints as to what you can do to fix your problem. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/439-open-beta-feedback/

Posting in the wrong place is the quickest way to get your post ignored.

In response to post #13009693. #13026863 is also a reply to the same post.

Anybody know where I can a link to 46 or 47? 49's obviously broken.

Link on this page works fine for me:  http://www.nexusmods.com/games/mods/modmanager/
As does NMM v0.49.1 itself.  (You do have to be logged-in to d/l, since the file size exceeds 2MB.)

So yes, it *is*  a problem at your end, EliasTexas.  The over 3,000,000 (and counting) other unique users who have downloaded and installed v0.49.1 seem to have been successful.

(Earlier versions wouldn't help you anyway, since they are now blocked from connecting to the Nexus servers.)

I don't know if this is only affecting me, but when I updated NMM to the current version, all my save files were corrupted! Can anyone help? Please?

Great you added support for more games but please fix the download speeds I'm only getting under 100KBPS on a connection that should max out about 800 and I have seen higher speeds in Nexus Mod Manager before.

Boy with all the comments addressing problems with NMM 0.49.0, I think I will stick with the previous version which is working just fine until all is ironed out.

    Edit 3/21/14
As I said in the above comment after reading the comments I was hesitant on updating to the latest version of NMM. However I took a chance and installed 0.49.1 and everything seems to be working just fine.

It works like a charm it's just the common issues with people that doesn't know how to launch a program or how to setup their antivirus and stuff.

This is weird, because 0.49.1 is working just fine for me, it's opening and installing mods without any issues.

So has everybody else's. And let's not go down the "uninstall config", it's your firewall/antivirus, you're-just-an-idiot road, please. 49 is badly broken.

@ taktul - This is a Site NEWS forum NOT a help forum

HINT: you may try this one http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/439-open-beta-feedback/ The reason it's called open beta feedback is because - the NMM is a beta program and by downloading it - you agreed to help test it. The open feedback forum is where you are supposed to post anything you found in your testing of the NMM program. Such as problems you encountered.
